  1. The basic line is what you've seen so far. The Deluxe line has slashing action or some such stuff. Some kind of attack that you can trigger by pushing a button or somesuch. Then they've got an 11" line of figures, just the four brothers.
  2. The Second wave of TMNT Classics are the four brothers and Bebop and Rocksteady. Not sure if this is the wave you guys are talking about or not wondering about B and R. Figures look cool whether they've been added as re-releases or not. It's this second wave, either restocked or re-released that's making the pre-order circles now.
  3. These are gonna be awesome. I also got the news from my Rep at my distributor that the Jabba and Scouts on Speeder Bikes should be available for Pre-Order before the end of the year. They're rumored to be two speeder bikes w/scouts and one jabba per case. Also rumored to be around $39.99 apiece. I upped what I wanted for my order to 6 cases, never done that before I started selling. Want a ton of them for pre-orders and in stock so I can pay for a case each for me and my son's collections. *laugh* Also am getting more impressed with the details as I see each of these new ones pictured in hand. Really impressed with the Stormtroopers and Clone Troopers so far. Looking forward to seeing the rest in person when I get them in.
  4. Been wondering what the general feeling is on these new Marvel/Avengers Infinite 3.75" lines? I've read some reviews, but am just wondering what the collectors actually think. I got in a case today and personally wasn't impressed. Just looking for some more feedback on these lines.
  5. The did a Wave 2 Revision 1 of the Cap Movie Legends figures. That's what's hitting the stores now. My distributor is #3 or #4 on the list, just behind the large chain stores so I should be getting mine in shortly too. Plus the Guardians of the Galaxy Figures, according to my rep. Glad I ordered more than I thought I should, want some of these for my collection too! Edited to add the following: From my Distributor: Get ready for action with the Captain America Marvel Legends Action Figures Wave 2 Revision 1 Case! Spanning the history of the comics plus the movies, this case of 8 individually packaged 6-inch scale action figures includes pieces to build Mandroid!Case includes 8 individually packaged figures: 2x Captain America 2x Black Widow 2x Winter Soldier 2x CA MARVEL NOW CAPTAIN AMERICA
  6. Glad someone else got a bit of a "The Fifth Element" feel from things. I'm hoping that this is awesome, but preparing for the worst. The actual comic series wasn't the best (in my opinion) though I enjoyed some of the older stuff.
  7. I'm trying to keep clear of most of the VII hype, but I still pop in on these forums every now and then. I have to agree in some ways with YoJoebro82. There's a LOT to do with marketability in these movies. There's a lot to do with marketing in the hype. It doesn't matter how bad the movies are, or even how good they are. Because in the end everyone will end up seeing them, everyone will want all the figures and other merchandise, and everyone will then gripe and moan about how they got taken in by the hype. It happened with the prequels. No matter how much someone complained online, I kept seeing again and again "Well I did go and see it finally, and I was RIGHT! It sucked!" The movie companies don't care that you were right, they got your money! It all comes down to MOICHENDISING (to steal from Mel Brooks in Spaceballs) and he was RIGHT! That's what it is, that's what it comes down to with Star Wars. It's a multi-BILLION dollar empire built over 30+ years! Now I am NOT complaining about this merchandising empire. I've done very well so far selling the figures and other collectibles. It's helped me to break even within months of opening my shop. And I'm not gonna complain about the merchandising machine of Ep VII because I know that it'll do the same for me as the Black Series and other figures are doing for me now. And I'll take my son to see the movies, because I wasn't able to see any but the "special editions" in the theatre. And only ESB at that. He's REALLY into Star Wars now, so I'm living vicariously through him as he experiences these movies and the hype himself for the first time. PS: I do like the cast tho!
  8. Cool. Glad to see some feedback on S 6. I was pretty much on the fence about watching season 6, but now I think I'll go through and finish seasons 3-6. I'm enjoying what they did with it, but wish they were longer than the half hour. The movie was very entertaining with Stinky, and my son loves it too. Just hope I won't be disappointed.
  9. I've been sitting here going through this thread, enjoying the discussion thoroughly. Yet I can't resist putting in my own two cents. JJ did a great job relaunching the Star Trek Universe while staying true to what has gone before. The whole alternate timeline thing worked, in my opinion. I think he'll approach Star Wars in much the same way: Respecting what came before. It's what he does. Even if you go back to his major motion picture debut, MI:III you see him giving nods to the original series in some ways that the previous two movies didn't. As for the cast, the mix is good, again in my opinion. You have a group of actors that know their characters because, well, they helped create them! Then you've got the new blood to help update the feel of it. It should be really interesting to see how everything plays out. Me for one, I can't wait for the...... ........wait for it......... .........MOICHENDISING!
  10. There's a Marvel Select Magneto coming out in July. Looks really good from what I've seen of it. Not all places that sell toys or pre-orders are charging scalpers prices, keep looking! I'm probably going to have to up my order for this series. Two cases isn't going to cut it. Really interested in seeing the Stryfe in hand, as well as the Cyclops. I don't have any Marvel figures in my personal collection yet, so this may be a good time to start.
  11. Got Obi-Wan 6" BS today. A bit underwhelmed by his face and pose-ability. No major paint app problems, but that's mainly because he's a plain figure as it is. I can see why he was a peg warmer in a lot of ways. Not too good of a facial sculpt, kind of a generic bearded guy that sort of resembles the prequel ROTS Obi-Wan. I've read in other reviews about the problems holding his lightsaber. Have to agree. Had to heat the hand a bit to get him to hold the lightsaber correctly. Not too concerned as he was for my personal collection and not for sale. He'll look cool with Bespin Luke and Wave 4 Anakin.
  12. They say they're TRU exclusive, but somehow I'm able to get them through my distributor. Looks like anyone who orders through Previews will be able to get them too as they're listed "Previews Exclusive" on my distributors site. Already got em up for pre-sale on my site. Looks like a solid wave. Not sure why everyone's down on Mags, he looks a bit like the Jim Lee era Magneto to me. But there's a Marvel Select Magneto coming out in July, and a Zombie Magneto in September from what I read on my distributors website.
  13. I remember when I first saw Batman TAS. These figures bring me back to it big time. Nostalgia hit. My son loves em. Heck, he even had me pick up some second hand DVD's of TAS so he could see what it was like. I'm thinking this set will be really cool. Just hope they ship in time for Christmas, cause otherwise it's gonna be a pain. My wishlist (and my son's) is simple. Batman, Joker, Two-Face, Man-Bat, Robin, and Catwoman!
  14. I can't say I'm too impressed with these figures either. But what did you expect from a Bay fest? I do have to say that what surprised me was the requests to carry these figures by some of my customers. Not sure if it was smart or not, but I'm gonna try. Worst case scenario they're a tax write-off. What's up with the steroid juicing Raph anways?
  15. I know I sold out of all but one Boba Fett and one Cone Trooper from Wave 4 when I posted them on Ebay for Pre-Sale. Obi-Wan seemed to be the redheaded stepchild of Wave 3. Anakin's the Redhead of Wave 4 Gonna be sitting on three of them. Wave 2.......I think it was a throw down between Slave Leia and Greedo. I don't think that the Biker Scout or Jabba will be shelf warmers. They seem popular enough to sell through. The Yoda looks completely awesome though. Even though it's got soft clothing, I think it'll turn out real well. I'm getting one of the 3.75" figures for myself when the cases come in from my distributor, but definitely want to get the 6" one for my personal collection as well. I did get the X-Wing Pilot Luke Skywalker 6", which my son immediately stole for his collection. Ordered myself a Bespin Luke 6" and an Obi-Wan ROTS 6" to go with my Anakin 6" to form the beginnings of my BS collection. Really looking forward to getting all these figures as time goes on.
