Transformers Collector Club Announces An Exclusive G.I.Joe Crossover Of Sorts

I like the idea, but I'm also a fan of the Joe property. So I understand all the hate coming from Transformers-only fans who don't really want a G.I. Joe toy as their exclusive.

My only demand is that Ol' Snake gets himself a figure to go along side the spawn of Flint and Lady-Jaye.

They'll be fine. She's not JUST a GI Joe toy anyway...the character was part of a Transformers episode. Besides, Joe fans had to share a couple of SDCC exclusives with TF in the past.

SDCC /= Fanclub (TFCC). SDCC is a celebration of all things nerdy and dorky so a mish-mash like SDCC Starscream + Cobra Commander is standard fare. A collector's club is solely dedicated to that property. The only reason this figure is coming out is because FunPub has rights to both Transformers AND G.I. Joe. Regardless, this toy is strictly G.I. Joe themed (figure + vehicle + child of two G.I. Joe characters). Her inclusion in the Transformers mythos was more of an Easter Egg in the cartoon for Joe Fans (which is why Ol' Snake got his due, as well). Besides, this toy doesn't really tickle my Transformers-fan-cy like it does my G.I. Joe one.

I feel sympathy for the TF purists who feel like they're getting shafted with a Joe toy in a TF club.

BUT

I'm glad she's coming out. I'll have to get her on the secondary market, though because I'll never give FunPub my CC# ever again.

Saw the picture of the figure and Afterburner and I love it.

How could any G1 fans get upset about a character from G1 being made with a Transformer from an episode she was in?

Its not like she was shoed into the line...shes been there since the original run.

Now we need a "Snake" figure as well.

(depending on what she costs on the secondary market).

No less than $100 is my guess. And that may be optimistic.

Looks good, it reminds me to Robotech with the Cycles...

BUT if the price is as high as the other collection figures, "Forget About It".
