  1. So it's a tribute to animated He-Man. And I just realized the box/package is supposed to look like an old television. Pretty slick.
  2. That's the Power Sword from Revelation on the packaging, and the figures appear to have cel shading for their deco. Maybe this is a SDCC or Mattel Creations exclusive.
  3. I preordered all five and got an extra Faker, too. I've really slowed down over the years with MOTUC, but every now and then the urge hits, and these were way too cool to pass up. I'm torn with what to do with these. My preference is usually to open my figures, but I also have the 8-back characters and a few favorites MOC. These will feature resealable packaging, which is really neat, so that gives me options.
  4. This is pretty sweet. I like the Alcala head. First time we've seen it outside of the mini comics and MOTUC.
  5. The Grayskull deal was unreal really. It's good that many fans/collectors/customers could finally get the Castle. Good on Mattel for making the offer. Now the Daily Deal? That's something much less worthy of praise...
  6. Awesome, although it borders on changing a bit too much (especially with He-Man's harness and armor) to still feel like He-Man.
  7. Man, this is incredible. Very impressive and entertaining, too.
  8. The Teela figure included with the Talon Fighter came out pretty bad. To be blunt, her face sculpt looks awful. I'm not quite sure how it came out the way it did, especially if the Horsemen sculpted it, but Mattel's attempt to get people a Teela figure (since the original is so expensive on the secondary market) seems to be a failure.
  9. It looks really awesome. I never had one as a kid but I can remember seeing it in stores or seeing pictures or box art or something and I always liked it for some reason. I bought a MOTUC Stratos on eBay a few years ago that had the vintage Talon Fighter with it (I think I paid $35 shipped for both) and it's pretty slick. I would like to pick this up, but I haven't bought any beasts or vehicles in MOTUC. I'm trying to stick to just the figures. This one is tempting. Once I see the price I might change my mind about that, though.
  10. Is anybody reading? I've read everything DC has published, from the first digital and mini-series and the ongoing that followed it to The Eternity War (I also read DC Universe vs Masters of the Universe). I really like having an ongoing MOTU series. Most of the story is not what I'd expect, but that's a good thing. The writing is really good and better than any previous MOTU series. The art is good too and fits the feel of the storytelling. I wish they'd use a few more characters, and I really wish Faker would finally be used in a more significant way, but otherwise I'm really pleased. I'm scared it's going to get cancelled after issue 12 and before Faker shows up (no signs of him yet), but I'll hope DC keeps it going. I know many of us don't have a lot of extra cash (especially if we're buying MOTUC figures ), but I'd recommend it if you like comics and haven't given it a shot.
  11. I didn't even know this was out yet until the other day. I've almost bought this a couple times on eBay. The only reason I'm hesitating is because they don't look quite as good on the figures themselves as I'd thought. The rest of the figure is so plain (the Vintage Clone Monster went wild on each of them other than Grizzlor) that they don't match like the 200X versions they're based on. Grizzlor and Clawful are fine, but Snout Spout, Buzz-Off, Roboto, and Sy-Klone don't look as cool as I'd hoped they would because they're lacking other 200X details.
  12. Really steep pricing, though I don't fault them for that. I'm sure they're charging what they have to. And they're exclusives, after all. I think I'll take a chance that I can beat the prices on eBay, especially because I'm not in love with any of them. I might change my mind, though.
