  1. The only thing peg-warming around here is the Hooded Cobra Commander. At one point, one Wal-Mart had 14 of them and none of the rest of the wave. I've only seen one Cobra Officer and haven't seen a Flint for months. The Five-packs were either not ordered by the Wal-Marts and Targets in my area or they instantly sold out. I still don't own either of the first two sets because I haven't found them in my area.
  2. Any particular reason why? (Not starting a fight, just curious what's wrong with 'em.) And I'm assuming you don't own any Convention figures, MOTH sets, or previous club exclusive figures? -Kevin Yes, but I don't feel the need to get into my personal views on MasterCollector. No, Mastercollector has never seen a dime of my money.
  3. It's cool that this figure is being released. But like the DTC Wave 4, I'm going to have to pass on it because I have no intention of buying from MasterCollector.
  4. That's why I think that Flint gets so much attention. If Hasbro doesn't get Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow or anyone else in the first 10 wrong, they are almost assured to see more versions. Flint has received one new mold since 1994 to make three total molds. If Hasbro doesn't get Flint right, who knows when they will get around to making him again.
  5. Here's my constructive critisicm. Why are the gloves missing off of Flint? Most likely money, and if the question is money, why not repaint Duke as any of the other over 20 variations of Duke that have come out over the years like they are apparently doing with the Cobra Commander and Storm Shadow from the Battle Pack #2? Why not save Flint until they have the money to afford a short-sleeve arm mold and can afford the paint for the gloves? Since the have a mold based off the original Snake-Eyes, why not put out more the original 1982 characters that all shared the same molds anyway? Breaker, Grunt and Hawk all shared the same torso as Snake-Eyes and it is most likely getting reused for Stalker. Put out one of those three characters. Where does one go to get the official explaination from Hasbro? I'd still like to see their explaination for the Heavy Assualt Team and using Flint's 1994 mold for Rock N Roll. Those are the ones that still puzzle me to this day.
  6. Isn't the whole Shipwreck short sleeves/Flint long sleeves issue a little premature? I haven't seen anything that says that this characters are new sculpts at all. I would think that they would be new sculpts but I thought that about Flint, SE (v2) and SS (v2) also before they revealed the pictures.
  7. I was a little worried that it was going to be a figure I wanted and that I would have to resort to e-bay or something to get it since I'm not going to the convention, but thankfully it's a figure that I think looks stupid so I can pass on it.
  8. Well, they can pay me peanuts to attend toy conventions and make stuff up. I think it would hilarous. "The next five figures will Crystal Ball, Raptor, Cobra Commander '87, Snake Eyes '91 and Storm Shadow '92 and they will all be repaints of existing molds." And then watch everyone's head explode trying to figure that out. And then see who still tries to defend Hasbro anyway and tell us it's the greatest thing ever.
  9. What's the point of sending reps who don't know anything and spread false information? Great job, Hasbro!!
  10. My question is that since we all know the current thought in toy making is that there has to be certain characters that are always available, where does that put Hasbro after the current 25 figures? We have two Cobra Commanders, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadows in the first 25. If the line does well, are we going to see 1987 Cobra Commander & 1991 Storm Shadow long before we see other classic figures from the 1982-1986 part of the line? Will we see Shadow Ninja Snake-Eyes before Doc and Quick Kick? Will they recreate Snow Job's mold and then call it Frostbite?
  11. As far as the Flint/Duke issue, I have not seen the picture so it's not right for me to judge but this is the company that once thought Flint's 1994 sculpt was perfect for Rock N Roll. The Hooded Cobra Commander/Cobra Commander repaint makes sense since the original figures were that way. Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow's repaints just sound sad. Trying to redo Storm Shadow's 1988 design by repainting the 1984 attempt? Snake Eyes's 1982 attempt should be perfect for doing the other original characters, not for the 1985 version. I should learn to temper my excitement. I get excited by what Hasbro's doing and then they always frustrate me in the end.
  12. I would have said it's true, but who the hell knows anymore? I guess some googling might have the answers, but it would be disputed...I'm sure. Would that being TRUE bother you for some reason? A little. Historically, Christians tend to be more...forceful...in dealing with non-Christians. I've found that tends to be true from a lot of the Christians I've personally met. But I digress. I like the thought that, while the founding fathers were Christians they were smart enough to make this country a non-denominational one. Sure, a lot of the laws/controls we have in the U.S. have a religious basis (of course they would). But one of the freedoms we have is freedom of religion (including aethism, sciencism, scientology or whatever other "religion" one wants to follow). I feel we would loose certain freedoms (not just freedom of religion) were the U.S. to become a "Christian nation" (or any other "[insert religion here] nation"). If we honestly look at the atrocities that you mentioned, although they were commited by Christians, they were not done from what I would call a Christian perspective. Several hundred years ago, a small amount of men held a lot of power in the world. A lot of the atrocities that were commited by the church were about power and the ability to wield that power. People commited atrocities for their own personal gain, not because of their own religious views in my opinion. Nobody who has ever read the words of Jesus would conclude that he advocated killing heathens. America is a Christian nation only as long as the majority of the people living in it are Christian. The government is not forcing anyone to attend church or believe in God. Personally, I don't want a government that is forcing its will on people any more than you do.
  13. Interesting that the author of the article doesn't condemn those on the left who have tried to appeal to Christians by hijacking the faith for their political purposes. "We need to talk about Christian values and how they're Democratic values," Howard Dean said. "Jesus taught to help the least among us. He spent his life reaching out to the disenfranchised. The Democratic Party is the party of that value, not the Republican Party." I think both sides are trying to say that they represent Christians. If the media tries to paint all Christians as Republicans, is that the Republican's fault or the media's fault?
  14. I haven't had much interest since they announed the hiatus last year. While some of the stuff that has come out in the last year was really spectacular like the vehicles, the current plan of no vehicles and repainted figures just leaves me cold. It is neat that they are using names like Grand Slam, Falcon, Airtight and the like, but the terrible quality is just pathetic. The only figures that look like anybody really cares are the over-priced Master Collector figures.

    ML screw ups.

My Wolverine came with a right leg, just like the one that came with Iron Fist. I didn't notice the screw-up until after I had opened it.
