  1. Hello customizing world of TNI. After a long hiatus of not posting any of my work in a public forum, I'm starting again. I have still been customizing in between my life events. Enough of the, let's get to "The Shredder"! I found myself in a Wal-Mart looking for who knows what when I found a whole untouched brand new display of the new "Ninja Turtles" movie toys. They looked better than original photos and news coverage had shown. Shredder was far and wide the best of all of them. However he was still a two-tone flat grey. I bought him and using the better part of a day off (and some Rockstar 2x that I also randomly found) I bestowed upon him all of the metallic details his sculpt deserved. Shredder was hand painted using various acrylic paints and techniques to bring his movie toy sculpt to life. I used some black washes to get the recesses of the gears and some of the armor pieces as well as white highlights for the blade edges. His arms were also painted in a basic white male sort of way since William Fichtner is playing Shredder in the upcoming movie. With his menacing new appearance, perhaps it will be time for turtle soup. I don't think that line is going to make the movie. Thanks for looking, and I'll be back with more figures in the near future
  2. I just saw this thread. It is a shame because I have just found time to start sharing my work again and would have liked to contribute to this.
  3. Chris Sabin from the TNA figures when Toybiz still made them.
  4. This is the big one in my opinion. So many times something happens, someone comes in, someone is repackaged, and their past is ignored. The best angle/promo that has come as of late was when Rock was back on RAW and mentioned stuff that Cena said about him when he left. That promo got a lot of attention by myself and some of my casual wrestling fans. They acknowledged that past, it was entertaining and I paid attention for a few weeks. I'm now back to reading spoilers instead of watching the show and deleting the episodes from my dvr if nothing sounded like worth watching. Other factors: Person(s) that work short, weak matches and have lengthy boring promos. I can't take it. I want to turn on any 2 hour wrestling program, get at least two 15 min. matches, one 10-12 min. match/promo/comedy segment, a <5 min squash, and two 5-7 min matches. Instead I get 2 hours of commercials and crappy promos, with the occasional comedy segment. Lastly I understand that WWE is a for profit company. However marketing someone who looks like they can sell merchandise versus someone who can perform is not a good choice. This is the music equivalent of backing Milli Vanilli versus Metallica, and we know how that ended up. So ideally I think the push should go to the better worker with the performance record. NOBODY ever thought "Stunning" Steve Austin would be an icon that overshadowed Lex Luger when all was said and done back in 1993. I personally think that at least 50% of person's put in the championship seat are more Milli Vanilli. In my humble opinion of fandom I can only defend a little over a handful of champions from the past 2 years: Cena, Edge, Punk, Taker, HHH, Jericho, Kane, Jeff Hardy and Christian. Christian, Hardy, and Kane earned it just by default and calibur of putting people over. They make for good transitional champions. Cena and Edge for being well rounded between in ring and mic timing. Jericho, HHH and Taker, because they are HHH and Taker, and Punk because he is probably the best "wrestler" in there. Honorable mention to Jack Swagger, but he needs more polish. The rest are pretty much palette swaps of each other. Its like watching most of the guys who are 6'4"-6'7" 260-ish lbs wrestle to generic big guy move set A. Big Boot, Powerslam, Clothesline, Right Hand, Right Hand, angry look, boring lame finisher that was recycled from the last big guy. Shout outs to Snitsky, Test, Lance "Vance Archer" Hoyt, and all the rest
  5. excruciatingly lame... but here is hoping that its a work to bring him in on a heel turn, which I feel would work better for him. I know it isn't a work, but hey Bryan Danielson came back...which was the greatest surprise since the Nexus run (first time).
  6. I personally do not think Batista, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, and arguably Kane should be on here. I think Rey should be switching spots with Hogan or Cena RVD, Vader, Sid, would be decent in a 50-35 spot. I do however agree with the top 5...maybe not the exact order, but that is damn close
  7. no , they chant "f-you vince" because they are angsty and think its cool root for the older guys to never put over new awesome talent. y'know because when I turn on thund...I mean Impact I wouldn't want to watch an actual wrestling match between MCMG vs Beer Money or anything with kazarian, joe, styles, etc. I want to watch a promo from someone who laces up their boots 1/ 2 months.
  8. I would buy new versions of spider-man, wolverine, etc....IF, they were good. Like the 2-pack body of hulk later this year, yes I want it. When Hasbro did the Red Hulk wave, I was on top of the wolverine and spider-man. I will not however completely support a ML line that would mimic DCUC. Too many of them are the same thing over and over again. Yes we can argue that Toybiz and Hasbro did that too, but at least we got very different head, hands, etc, that made it feel like a different figure all over again. but it will also come down to the articulation. That is the biggest reason I'm not into DCUC. I don't like their articulation.
  9. I actually enjoy it. Not because of the whole NWO repeat that it reminds us of, but because its a bunch of new guys getting screen time. Plus the Evan Bourne push, this is awesome. It is the exact opposite of TNA's gravedigging. Such a shame, because the whole reason I watched TNA was the new guys. At least Vince kind of gets it.
  10. i was reading the spoilers at 10:40pm and was getting ready to just delete my dvr recording, but read about the end, turned it on...and it was awesome
  11. i was just happy to see a decent match for and promo for a change...it has been too long
  12. Raw we got Edge v Christian which rocked, and then NxT had that awesome Bryan Danielson promo where he ripped on Micheal Cole. "Poor man's JR" that was awesome.
  13. Daniel Bryan and David Otunga are going to win...my guess with the others to follow suit in 6-10 months as tag teams and such.
  14. You have a point, but I was looking at it more from the perspective of how a wrestler, not someone like Vince or the WWE creative staff, announcers, or commentators would since it's Vince's M.O. to crap all over someone he didn't make himself, but most if not all of the wrestlers from the timeframe you mentioned all reference someone's time in the ring as a factor on how they are treated by other performers, not how long they were one of Vince's projects. As for the angle they are working, I don't mind it. If they want to play the Miz as really that much of a egomaniac that's fine, Hell it might even be interesting. I just had trouble with how Michael Cole was trying to sell it to the fans watching at home..because it just fell flat even moreso after the good match the guy worked. Of course it could also be because I just don't like The Miz. Everytime I see him on tv I am reminded of how ##$%$#ed he looked on MTv running around with a plastic belt saying he was AWESOME. #WTF# I also dislike the Mix, and I've never cared for Micheal Cole. But his new whiny heel announcer is interesting in the fact that I think it will actually put Danielson over. The amount of air time he has gotten before the show even debuted, half the show was about him when it did debut, and the match against Jericho (very similar to Angle/Cena 1). I think Vince is actually behind him. They have given him way too much attention to not be. But using him they will also build a more annoying villain in Miz and possibly Cole, who lets face it...those two are not the reason people buy a ticket to a show.
