Which of the 10 most wanted figures will be revealed at NY Toy Fair?

From He-Man.org:

It is a tally of most anticipated figures leading up to NYTF. 1126 votes have been cast so far, and here are the Top 10 (as of post# 180):

1). Mantenna

2). Two-Bad

3). Scorpia

4). Horde Trooper

5). Tung Lashor

6). Glimmer

7). Modulok

8). Madame Razz/Broom

9). Mermista

10). Castaspella

With 3/10 coming from the PoP toyline, another 4/10 appearing in the MOTU toyline BUT the PoP FILMation toon, and another 2/10 being FILMation PoP characters, that only leaves 1/10 (Two-Bad) being straight up vintage with no connection to PoP.

Any chance that the rest of 2013 and 2014 will help satiate these pollsters appetites?

Toy Guru's Response:

I'll confirm at least one of the figures on this list will be shown at Toy Fair!

So that leaves us to speculate which of these 10 will be shown at Toy Fair. I would say that Tung Lashor will not be the one because Snake Face is coming out in the spring and they would not release 2 Snake Men that close to one another.

I'm also fairly sure it won't be Two-Bad because Jitsu comes out in February and they would at least wait till the end of the year to release him. He'll likely be the marquee character for the beginning of 2014.

I'm hoping it isn't a POP character because I don't really want any of them.

I'd say the most likely is the Horde Trooper. We still don't know what the $50 item is going to be. I'd say these will be the 2 pack. One thing that gives me a little doubt is that the $50 pack will be out in the fall and generally they only show stuff up through August and save the last 3 or 4 months for SDCC.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure NYTF shows off MOTUC figures. It makes sense because Mattel relies on e-retailers to buy up the subs. But as far as who will be revealed, Hard to say. I'd say Mantenna OR Two Bad, not both. Although I'm sure both of them will be released this year. I think the Horde Troopers will be the two pack.

Do they usually show MOTUC at Toy Fair? Seems odd to show something you only sell in house. Isn't Toy Fair to show stores what they'll be getting this year?

The two big reveal days are NY Toy Fair in February and SDCC in July. NYTF shows off product from January-August/September and SDCC shows off product from September/October-March/April of the following year.

at least one. may be two then? lol. i say its mantenna because they showed that white crossbow at powercon i guess it was. then again cornboy wants his two-bad. hmmmmm........

I forgot all about that crossbow. You might just be right.

Two-Bad is the last major Evil Warrior left so I'm pretty sure he won't be released until next year. Also, Modulok could end up being the $50 figure since it's basically two figures in one.

Far too many PoP characters there. I don't believe any casual fan would vote for them before the likes of Rio Blast, Extendar, Dragstor, Ninjor, Ssssqueeze, or basically any other vintage figure yet to be made.

This caMe from He-Man.org and there are a ton of POP fans there. So it's probably al least slightly skewed.

He said at Least one. so there could be 2 or more. I vote Mantenna and Horde Trooper. And just to left field it..Battle Ram..they did say a Big reveal would be there..though I figure it is the old Grayskull but one can dream for more ;)

Well the q&a from fwoosh came in and toyguru said that there will be a special surprise we dont know about. It must be something out of the sub. Battle ram would be awesome but i would love to get a vehicule for the villains.

I would buy a couple of Battle Rams.

I would get two as always but to be honest i just need the front section. These little gliders i would get a lot more then 2.

Yep. That's the only alarming thing about this list.

Madame Razz/Broom, Mermista, and Castaspella?

Ugh. Instant death for the line. @smilepunch@

Ha! ... He-Man.org should officially change it's name to She-Ra.org.

Give this man a prize!

I don't know why He.Man.org bothers. First they hardly let anyone join in the first place, second they edit your posts so they could really change your vote if they wanted to, and thitd they are all She Ra fans.

Hardly an unbiased poll/ site. Plus I got a virus warning when I clicked on one of their threads one time. I'll never go there again.

One thing I noticed about the .org, as soon as you express an opinion that goes against their frame of thinking, you become a target. Then they start suspending you for petty things until you get banned. They also like to make up new rules as they go and when you violate a rule, you get reprimanded. They treat members like frickin' children. Only way to successfully be a member on the org is to be happy about everything, all the time. You have to love Toyguru, Princess of Power, Filmation, and most importantly Val, etc. Soon as you say something negative about Mattel or Toyguru, the .org pitchforks come out. That's just not fun for me. I like to have the ability to say what I gotta say. So far so good on here. ;)

Good assessment.

The best way I can describe it is un-American. Censorship and fascism rule the day over there. It's like Val wasn't raised in America or any other free country. It's a strange experience posting there. Free speech does not apply, and in true dictator-like fashion, the admins even defend their actions (every action) like they're 100% right and sane. Val seems quite obtuse in his responses to your responses to the PMs he sends. He seriously, and I'm not exaggerating or trying to be mean when I say this, runs that site like a dictatorship. There is no other site on the entire internet that I've ever seen operate like that one. It truly is wild to see.

Again, I can't emphasize enough just how strange it is. It doesn't feel like it's a part of the rest of the internet.

LOL where have you guys been the last 10 years???

Yes Mattel shows MOTU every year at Toy Fair. Mattel holds a collector media event which will be on Sunday 2/10 this year so make sure to be checking out TNI that evening for coverage.

As for who I would like to see, Modulok and the Hordetrooper get my vote.
