best spiderman figure?

What would be the best representation of the 80's cartoon spiderman in the 6inch scale of figures?

Well, for the most part, the design aesthetic of the '80's Spidey-Toons pretty accurately mirrored the style of classic Spidey artist John Romita. For my money, the best representation of that version of Spidey would be Snap-Shot Spidey from series 10 of the old ToyBiz Spider-Man line.

It's not a perfect translation, but its as close as you're gonna find to that classic '70's-'80's look.

I have a Spidey that I consider to be a real sleeper. I have no idea what line he's from, it may be the one mako is talking about. He might fit what you're looking for. Like with the Joker, I can take a pic of him later today.

He's got kind of a classic look to him. I got him when I was looking on ebay for McFarlane Spideys and realizing that I am not going to realistically be able to afford him any time soon.

I am not 100% sure what this one is called, I got him loose from a guy online. I know it's from the SM Classics line. It MIGHT be "parachute" Spider-Man(?) I know this version was released about 3 times with very subtle variations...there might be one with a bit lighter blue. He shares the same mold with about a half dozen other MLs including the Daredevil I have him pictured with. Overall I think it's a good mold for him. it's lanky and you can get any Spidey pose you want. When you stand him straight up the shoulders on this mold are a bit round, but you don't notice it at all when you get him in Spidey poses.

The eyes and all the web lines are printed on instead of etched into the figure but it all looks pretty clean.

With Spidey, it always comes down to what kind of eyes you want. The classic suit always looks the same but different artists have always done the eyes slightly different. To me this one is a happy medium between all of them.

You're going to pay a lot for Snap Shot and McFarlane Spideys. You should be able to get this one fairly cheep and it's a solid Spidey.

i'm still waiting for a truly fantastic classic spidey. i want sculpted eyes, a soft muscle sculpt, and vivid red and blue colors. there seems to be something missing with every classic style 6" spidey figure to date.

the best 6" spideys are the hasbro symbiote and the mcfarlane spidey (best overall). the icons spidey is great, but it's huge.
