  1. http://www.patchtogether.com/designs/cassie-hack-from-the-hackslash-comic-book-designed-by-tim-seeley-2724.html Trying to drum up enough support over there to get Cassie Hack (from Hack/Slash) made as a statue!
  2. Thanks for the heads up on that wave being at Target, just picked up that set! Thanks again!
  3. Neat, where did you get the Arctic Snake Eyes/IcE-Viper and Breaker/Storm Shadow packs?
  4. Greg Horn is appearing at this year's G.I. Joe Convention, with a limited edition Baroness print, this weekend (August 14-16). Greg Horn is best known for his artwork on MARVEL COMIC’s titles ELEKTRA, EMMA FROST, and SHE-HULK. He is currently the regular cover artist on the acclaimed series MS. MARVEL by Brian Reed. On the licensing front, Greg’s art has been used on just about any piece of merchandise you can think of! With WARNER BROS’ licensing division, Greg has provided spot illustrations based on the SUPERMAN RETURNS movie, and also an original painting for MATTEL’s board game Kryptonite Crisis. Other recent WB projects have included a Superman poster for CLAMPETT STUDIOS, and several illustrations of NBA star Lebron James for POWERADE and ESPN. Greg has also been the artist for the following G.I. Joe products: G.I. Joe Comic 2 Packs Issue 14 Cover G.I. Joe Comic 2 Packs Issue 25 Cover G.I. Joe Comic 2 Packs Issue 30 Cover G.I. 5. I'm thinking that's the Polar Sharc. Game piece looks like there is a group of 3 of them with the same shape, and one of the leaked toy lists mentions the Polar Sharc Sub.
  6. Thanks, been looking for some more news on this since I saw a glimpse during Toy Fair coverage. On the larger image you can make out all the G.I. Joe team vehicles (Brawler, Rockslide ATAVs?, Polar Sharcs, Howler, Night Raven). Cobra has a Steel Crusher ??, Molepods, ??, ??, and a Night Raven. Looks fun!
  7. The secret to Shopko shopping is waiting for a sale. Every month or so they have a buy 1 get 1 half off or buy 2 get one free sale. Beyond that, I only use Shopko as a last resort.
  8. Here are more images and additional costumes... http://www.halloweencostumes.com/gi-joe-costumes.html
  9. What? That contained the press photos that Hasbro distributed for Toy Fair. Don't think anyone is withholding that information. Very cool piece, I'd love to get ahold of one of them!
  10. Ok, if you care about the inserts we got it figured out... http://www.yojoe.com/archive/inserts/combatheroes.shtml Basically what you can see in the package is the "GI JOE vs. COBRA what would YOU do?" portion of the insert. And at the bottom left hand corner of that is a number, PN something or other. That's your guide. PN67336 Roadblock PN67337 Bazooka PN67338 Duke PN67340 Scarlett PN67341 Snake Eyes Once the Wave 2 figures start hitting more retail we should be able to find the other 3 that must be out there!
  11. I'm stumped too! EDIT - Oooh, it's weak. Figured it out, but it's a pretty weak link!

    Im just curious

Truthfully, a little bit of both, and this is coming from both sides, as a fan and from when I used to be at YoJoe. As a website operator, I tried to stick to the actual confirmed news, but you see other sites posting the prototypes and see the traffic and discussion that generates. Add to that, I was always told that Hasbro poo-poo'd the whole prototype thing, so that was hanging over my head too. It was frustrating, especially when Hasbro wasn't particularly forthcoming with info. So, where do you draw the line, stick to confirmed news or go for the traffic grab? Now, as a fan, I DO like to see the prototypes, the early lists, whatever. It adds to the history of the line, gives us a little insight into the process, let's us see the changes that happen. I don't get frustrated when something isn't released, it happens all the time. (I take that back, I'm still VERY angry that I don't have a LCBH Vanguard figure on my desk!) It was neat to see a wave (13) hit retail before any pictures were shown though, that was a fun surprise. I can see both sides of the discussion, but don't have any real answers.
  13. I know I'm in the minority here, but those are my favorite product out there right now. I've always liked the cheesy, fun side merchandise though. I do understand that they aren't to everyone's taste though. Something to look out for, the Wave 1 figures have a packaging variation, some come with an insert (usually at Wal-Mart), some don't (everywhere else). You can see under the characters feet if the insert is included or not. I've found 4 different inserts so far, I suspect there are 8 in all, if anyone has any of the ones I don't have, I'm definitely looking to buy or trade for them. They've got a product catalog on one side, and on the other they have a little Goofus and Gallant style lesson...
