i want one sooo bad....and i cant go to the sdcc to get one!

Buddy, I live in Hungary, Europe, there's NO WAY I'm going to be at SDCC... :(

But I'm still optimistic. I know I'll have to pay a bunch of money for this on Ebay, but a good LOBO figure is worth it. I HAVE TO have one, Lobo's been my favorite ever since I was little.

Actually glad they made Lobo as the con exclusive for reasons already mentioned. Not that big a fan, so won't have to worry about a BAF, and won't be missing out on someone who I might have cared more about getting.

I can guess why they really did the exclusive thing, though - to get around the parent factor. I know they were having problems with the idea of fitting him in a line somewhere because of his abundantly violent nature. Maybe this was the only way they felt they could get away with getting him out for the collectors. Makes sense to me, anyway.

Don't know if you have them around you, but check Big Lots. They pick up the leftovers of things like this and sell them at or below MSRP. The one near me has that line - I'll check to see if it has those particulars and let you know.

As for what gets revealed at NYCC, all I can say is some online retailers are already pushing pre-orders for wave 5, without even knowing what's in it. Let the speculation begin!

yes sir! big lots, tj maxx, burlington coat fac, and aj wright have the leftovers.

Occasionally I do find the cool stuff at the outlet/closeout stores... but I think my chances of seeing Two-Face, Catwoman, and Clayface are getting pretty slim. I doubt the odds will get better with time. If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it.

As to the new stuff... My god, so much coolness. I think Riddler is the only one I'm not jazzed about, but I really love the DCD Hush version, and I'll be picking it up anyway to get the C&C part, so I'll decide which one to put on the shelf when I actually get him.

All the C&C figures are simply amazing. That Metallo especially is something I've been wanting for YEARS. Even if the figures weren't awesome, I'd be picking up every last one.

Lobo is just awesome. Even if I didn't like him, I'd want him just for the great sculpt alone.

I'm a bit annoyed that we still don't have a Martian Manhunter or Captain Marvel, but it's hard to be too upset when there's so much to be excited about. I'm sure they'll get around to those guys soon enough... maybe I'll get them along with my C&C Atom-Smasher or STRIPE. I can dream.

well im not against exculsives, but i think that making a entire fig rather than a repaint an exclusive sucks! im not really a lobo fan, but...he is still part of the dc universe and i want him! and if they do make exclusives, they should be at every convention.

I agree with you about Captain Marvel, sorry to see we may be getting a Black Adam and Captain Marvel in the Infinite lines before the Universe Classics.

Either way I will do my standard of ordering 3 cases from BBTS, these are just simply amazing. Also I have been equally satisfied with the finished product over the pics from the conventions and the Mattel released press shots, now Mattel we need these asap in the coming year

Black Adam

Captain Marvel

Amazing Man - the one with the cape (no variant needed)

Monarch

and for the long shot -- Yuga Khan, lets see how many DC people even know who he is??

On the good side though, Every character in DCIC is one that A: The creative team is a aware of, and B: Think can sell a figure.

So I figure that seeing characters like Wonder Girl, Captain Marvel, and even Mirror Master in DCIC means slightly better odds that we'll get them in DCUC.

...that's what I choose to believe, anyway. It's a happy thought. :)

Man these figures look awesome close-up. I was at the panel and alot of stuff was mentioned. The 2nd wave of JLU will have KGbeast, Atomic Skull, Shadow Thief, Silver Banshee, a new Bats. Fan requested accesories will be included like Wonder pig. As for DCUC, Mr. Mxy, Bat-Mite, Krypto, and a small atom are looking to be included with future figs. When asked if Doomsday might be a B.A.F they said Doomsday, Darkseid, and Amazo might be B.A.F s in the future. A female figure will be in every wave of the 2009 line. Golden age characters are being looked into. The movie masters line will continue to include all other DC movies with the original Superman movie being specifically mentioned by the 4H. When asked about a catoon legion line, they said no but the legion in some form will eventually infiltrate all three line. DCUC, Infinite Heroes, and JLU. The Batman line will continue as long as theres fan support. No brave and bold toys but it's being looked into. Vertigo characters ar a no go because they don't have that license.

O yea didn't see this on display but Wizard's got a pic of Terry with batarang and wings.

After seeing BL, i totally can see them reusing him and making john stewart out of him. Heres my idea of what he could look like.

johnstewart-1.jpg

Dude, that is a perfect idea. It is perfect, pop the head and the paint app is only a mustache and beard. So far that is what I need to Luthor, bought an extra Luthor popped the head and put it on a Clark Kent body. Bought an extra Aquaman and now all I need is the variant, will popped the head off the variant (that hair sucks) and will put the original head on the variant body. Great idea!!!

I'm excited they are making an Artemis in her WW gear. I hope it's as easy to find as the Red/Blue Superman variant, but somehow I kinda think that won't be the case.

maybe...if they do it 50/50 like superman, that would be great! they really dont do variants, they have running changes. theyre supposed to be shipped evenly through out the wave. ive found only modern aquaman, ive never seen any of the other moderen figs in person.

DCUC is looking better and better. I am really excited about it and even bought a Black Manta today, and I am a die hard ML fan. I hope the Hawkman out does the DCD Identity Crisis, otherwise it aint worth getting. And the BAF's are really impressive: I can't wait for Grundy and Metallo. (The Despero aint bad, but really wanted a Giganta). Did anyone herar if we are still getting a Man-Bat for the DCUC?

Man-Bat was released last year as a SDCC exclusive. Had a cool box and everything. I've got mine but I think Mattel wasn't cool with the idea of another in the near future. Possibly in a few waves.

I can't wait to get all of them.

I was waiting forthe 4 horsemen to release a male character with flesh tone plastic for the arms. With Amazo's body, I will finally be able to make a custom PowerBoy (one of my favorites!). Since he isn't well liked and was killed off, the chances of him being made are alomost none. I love how all the figures have a similar look to them. I can't get enough of thes figures. That WonderWoman and Artemis----MMMMMM!

Mattel's excuse, by the way, for making Lobo an exclusive for the SDCC is that he is too adult a character to sell in the general market place. DC and Mattel don't want to be seen as marketing Lobo to children, so the only way they could sell him would be at an exclusively collector based venue such as a Con.

Bingo! Thanks for verifying the theory I posted earlier. Unless you are also guessing. But that is why they hadn't included him in the Unlimited series, according to the various Q/A sessions they have every so often.
