  1. 1. What item(s) have you bought or tried to buy from Mattel/MattyCollector.com? I bought MOTU Classics and DC Universe Classics figures. 2. Are you in the United States or a International customer? I am an international customer from Germany. 3. What overall grade do you give Mattel/Mattycollector.com in regards to your experience with them; A, B, C, D or F? D- because of: lack of payment options (instant payment with PayPal is possible, Matty); duration of shipping (4-5 weeks, i'm still waiting for Zodac); no padding in the packages (nearly all cards have been bent); customer service doesn't provide email contact; availability of products is lacking; some bad paint apps (especially Adam Strange and Starfire); quality of homepage (do i need to say more?). I didn't grade F because all in all the figures are GREAT!! Tread the Horsemen well, Mattel!. Now improve, please!!
  2. LOL, I know how you feel, back when you guys were getting the last few MOTU, I had ask to all over the place to find them. Wave 5 still have not hit my area yet, no big, I know they will someday. Its when I walk into a store and only see riddler that I will begin the big hunt. If I see any extras I'll grab a few extras for everybody. That would be great!! Whenever there'll be any Europe or German exclusive figures (which i really doubt) you like, don't hesitate do ask me.
  3. WTF? Seeing the prices for wave 5 let me crap my pants!! As if it's not expensive enough for me as a German collector (bound to eBay, international shipping costs and customs). Now it's topped with a Walmart exclusive wave, Hooorraaay!! And since when does Mattel release a wave per month? The first three were released in 2-3 month rhythm and now with wave 4 in october and 5 in november they're trying to bankrupt me. I think i have to sell some organs to finance my action figure addiction. Seriously, 160-180 bucks? Including shipping and customs it would cost me $250!! What's mattycollector.com for? Why don't they sell 'em there, too? Is someone inclined to help a german guy who lives in a Third World country when it comes to "cool" action figures?
  4. I really don't know why so much people are upset about the price, 1 figure per month and not 200x look policy. IMHO the 200x line was nice but from the look of it it could have been a totally different brand as well. MOTUC on the contrary resembles the figures i played with as a kid and it has upgraded articulation. Something i had wished for the 200x figures. Being from Germany i'm used to high prices since i mostly order figures from the US. I can understand that american collectors feel kinda betrayed, but unlike the 200x line MOTUC is directed to collectors that want an exclusive product. And with one figure a month exclusively sold online limited to three per order i'm really satisfied. There are soooo many cool toys out there, that personally i don't need another Action Figure line with 5 figures every month. And buying figures in bulks is also prevented. I can't stand people buying 20 figures and selling them tripled in price afterwards. THAT upsets me and not that a single piece costs 20 bucks. And it's not an argument that other lines have figures with more and better articulation but are more affordable. That's an subjective opinion. Why should points of articulation be decisive for the price? Personally i don't need He-Man to breakdance or let him eat bananas out of his butt! I really love MOTUC, just let it grow and expand and perhaps there will be 200x style figures someday, too. But it's normal that you can't satisfy everyone. There's always someone complaining...
  5. Yeah me too. DCUC breaking ya down...aint it boy! ha-ha(of course no dis by saying boy) As i'm more or less reliant on ebay it breaks me to see the prices some sellers demand for DCUC wave 3. So mattycollector would be good advised to start selling them, too. If they'd have reasonable prices it could become a little shopping paradise for international customers like me. But DCUC with one wave released in 2-3 months periods is not as much breaking me down as GI Joe 25th. With all the repaints, comic-packs, vehicles, thongs, nail clippers etc. Hasbro is releasing i have to sell organs soon. Anyone need a kidney? Anyone...?
  6. Got my Lobo today. It was nicely wrapped and in very good condition. It took a bit less than 3 weeks to Germany. But i wish they would offer more in their shop...
  7. I'm from Germany and i ordered my Lobo on 2nd of August, and it still hasn't arrived. If it takes 2 weeks in the US then i think it will take 3-4 weeks to get to Germany. But i'm not complaining, because compared to eBay the prices at Mattycollector are pretty decent. But it would be nice if they'd sell the regular DCUC line there, too.
  8. Actually, if you look closely at the pics in the first post, the mask does look very close to Matt's original. The biggest change seems to the the lack of red piping on the neckline. All the other details and colors seem to be in the right place. Admittedly, i jumped to conclusions. The new mask does resemble the old one, but on first sight it doesn't. Imho the neckline piping is crucial, the visor should be broader and the 'muzzle' should be shorter. The visor was kinda like embedded in a red upper and side frame, the side frame is completely missing. And i think the color should be like his jumpsuit. If they would sculpt the mask like the cartoon interpretation i'd be totally satisfied...
  9. Finally there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I really freaked when i heard Hasbro is planning on releasing a M.A.S.K. figure. But when i first saw Matt i was quite diappointed. Don't get me wrong, i like the figure but the mask doesn't look at all like the old one. And for me the masks are the most important part for the recognition value. Since Hasbro owns Kenner they should have plenty of reference material and i don't know why they made the mask looking totally different. I want the mask i know from my childhood and nothing else! I mean the 25th anniversary Joes look the same as they looked back in the days, why the hell not Trakker's mask? From now on i'm praying every day and i hope the Gods at Hasbro will listen to my prayers and make the mask look like back in the 80's. Am i the only one thinking like this? I doubt it...
  10. At least every single carded 25th figure, comic-pack and vehicles. Don't know about the exclusivies, yet.
  11. Since i like masks and helmets, basically everyone that wears one. Here are some of my favorites. Joes: Beachhead, Shockwave, Snake Eyes, Barbecue, Blowtorch, Cover Girl, Hit & Run, Tunnel Rat, Flint, Falcon, Alpine, Low-Light, Torpedo Cobra: CC, Crimson Guards, Iron Grenadiers, Baroness, Destro, Firefly, Snow Serpents, nearly all Vipers
  12. WOW!! Wave 9 kicks arsch!! I thought wave 8 was the beginning of the end, but thank god i was wrong. They all look awesome except the Storm Shadow repaint. Ol' Hasbro just can't let it be. But there are still so many classics to be done. Of course we need Zap, Recondo, Airtight, Dusty, Short-Fuze, Sci-Fi (yes, even him), well in my opinion we need every single figure from 82-89! Otherwise it would be an unsatisfiedly anniversary.
  13. It's Ziegelstein und Mörtel, a Mörser is a mortar What cool toys are you writing of? Playmobil and bubblegum? I really don't know any cool German toys, at least for an older audience. There was a cool shop in Cologne where i live where you could find old Joes and other old and new import stuff. But the prices were ex-orbital and therefore it's closed. Back then you could go to TRU and find a decent amount of 'Action Force', that's what GI Joe was called here. But the 25th Anniversary line is a no-go for TRU, even Comicshops don't sell them. So you're right, chief, locally they're impossible to find. I kinda referred to German onlineshops. And thanks for the offer, i think i'll drop a PM soon...
  14. Or worse, try Germany or Europe! I have to be very lucky to find any GI Joe's in Germany, and if i do, they're tripled in price. So i have to stick to the internet. I've always envied american toy-collectors, but after reading the posts here, my envy has eased a bit. Still, compared to America, Germany is a 3rd world country correlating toys. Btw, what are brick and mortar shops?
  15. Is there any knowledge if there will ever be single carded versions of Torch, Ripper and characters that were single carded back in the 80's? It would be a shame if not...
