Good couple of weeks of momentum here..... Store exclusive product is hitting the shelves, pre-orders galore and previews. Minus a stupid April Fool's stunt, all things have been great!!

What was the April Fools stunt?

BARBECUE!!!! I really never thought he'd be made. I'd stopped collecting toys, but I'll make an exception for this figure. They all look great though.

I've never understood bbq, even as a kid i wondered why they needed a firefighter. So he will be an easy skip. Bazooka i might just have to pick-up despite hating the red shirt. If i pickup ninja Ku i'd have to repaint him or something. Hawk is the Best imho. Did anyone notice the Bat no longer has a battle damaged head?

What where those earlier comments about a close fisted boozaka and a black bbq about?

Should we be expecting an African "Storm Shadow" variant? If so count me in. As is, meh...

I'm liking all these. Bazooka and BBQ were two of my faves. Actually, all of those were... I'd prefer the brown-haired, older looking Hawk for a headsculpt though. I'd like to see BBQ without the mask, assuming it comes off. Nice job on Bazooka's accessories - not as tight as Spirit's, but still very much appreciated.

Oh man! Do these action figures look awesome or what?! Holy freakin' cow, the last few waves have really been impressing me. I like the fact too, that all these figures (minus SS of coure) seem to be original body parts. Keep up the original sculpts Hasbro!

Yes!

I was getting concerned that this wave would be running out of steam after seeing the wave 8 filler wave. This is great! Now give me an Alpine!

This wave is looking very good and all, and I am extremely happy to finally seeing my favorite version of General Hawk, BUT I can't help thinking they (Hasbro) could do a little better. I have so far been able to build a decent sized Cobra army, from all that has been released so far. I'll be happy to add BATs and Snow Serpents to that, but what I am really interested in is MORE FRICKIN' JOES!!! I like how they have released, in some version, each of the original group, aside from Zap and Short-Fuze, who I still have hopes for. What I would like to see are more individual team members, as opposed to 'repaint v.62 Snake Eyes' or 'lighter shade of grey shirt Duke'. Save those for club / store exclusives or mail-a-ways or something. I'm looking to see Joes like Airborne, Alpine, Dusty, etc. My ideal 6-figure wave should consist of 4 unique Joes, 1 unique Cobra (like Scrap-Iron), and 1 army builder Cobra. Seems that way, every one would be happy. And there would be very little to stagnate the shelves.

But that's just my opinion. I'd like to hear what others of you have to say about it! #US1#

WOW!! Wave 9 kicks arsch!! I thought wave 8 was the beginning of the end, but thank god i was wrong. They all look awesome except the Storm Shadow repaint. Ol' Hasbro just can't let it be.

But there are still so many classics to be done. Of course we need Zap, Recondo, Airtight, Dusty, Short-Fuze, Sci-Fi (yes, even him), well in my opinion we need every single figure from 82-89!

Otherwise it would be an unsatisfiedly anniversary.

Wow!

2007 was a good year for GI Joe, and it looks like 2008 is really gonna be awesome!

I just hope we get to see Low-Light before the line ends. :)

Looks to be an all-around popular wave, but Hasbro's definitely losing me on the Joe picks (have been since Wave 5). Hawk will replace the comic pack version, and rightfully so. But Bazooka and Barbeque will go with my MOC collection, not loose on my display shelf.

On the other hand, I'll have 6 Snow Serpents, and as many BATS as I can clasp to my tender bossom! They both look phenomenal, and will be happy additions! Now we *really* need Eels, tho... since Snow Job has his troops to fight, and Torpedo deserves the same.

I was hoping that Hasbro will remake barb b q and I got my wish.

Now I hope Hasbro will remake:

Cover Girl

Recondo

Low Light

Mutt & Junkyard

and I will be happy

This wave looks awesome I will get all of them, but hey when are going to start seeing some Cobra Vipers show up in stores?

Hawk has Firefly's problem that the the holster/webgear (whatever it is) is stuck up on the upper torso because of the new design.

Bazooka: I wonder if those rockets are removable.

Barbecue: Why the hell can we STILL not get a removable helmeted version of guys like him and Airtight? That doesn't mean it isn't, of course, but it doesn't look like it.

B.A.T.: BOTH hands. Awesome. That guys is going to be SO hard to find.

Snow Serpent: Very nice, looks like a guy wearing several layers. Gun looks tiny though, lol.

Storm Shadow: Yawn.

Another thought about this that aggrivates me is that my local stores still haven't got anything past the wave that was made up of the box set figures single packed :( (at least on the single pack end, somehow i get new comic packs)
