Custom Cobra War Room

Recommended Posts

I just finished the first of 16 different stackable dioramas for shelf units I have in the room my wife designated for my G.I.Joe collection. At present all of the G.I.Joe guys are in storage as I work on Cobra Dioramas. The one pictured is a custom Cobra Command Center. Every month as time permits I'll create another and post pics. (Future projects include a Viper Training Arena, MARS Research Center, BAT Assembly Lab, Heavy Vehicle Bays, Aircraft Hangars, Combat Arena, Genetics Lab, etc.)

Let me know what you think!

Man,

THAT is AWESOME! Very 80s. No electronic sounds, or shooting weapons. THAT is something that would have SOLD! That is sooooo awesome!!! Thanks for sharing ideas!

Wow! What is this made out of? I think i see a Terror Drome gunner chair but other than that everything is foreign to me.

I used top loaders for the display screen mounted w/ velcro so I could change them out when I wanted to. The back two window areas came from the Predator versus Alien toy line. The two computer displays infront were cantina displays from Star Wars. The rear generator thing is a part from the Justice League Space Station. The Cobra behind CC is a wooden statue I found on ebay. Other than those things, the other parts are pre-cut pieces from Hobby Lobby and some misc parts I found while walking the isles of Menards.

A lot of these concepts come from watching what you guys have put out over the years. Thanks for all the great ideas.

Great and impressive work, bravo! Can't wait to see more.

I'm plannig to make a cobra communication center on my own with various playmobil parts. Where did you get those nice red radar screens on the consoles? Are those files available on the net or did you create them yourself?

Anyway, it's sad Hasbro never gave us something like this. There is definitely a market for that kind of stuff.

I went to Google and typed in radar screens to see what would pop up for images. I went back today to see if I could find the ones I used, but ended up finding a bunch of other cool ones.

Made some serious headway on the Raven Hangar which is up next once I finish the detail work.

Glad you guys liked it and thanks again for all the inspiration you have provided over the years.
