Doctor Doom stands 12 inches tall with 26 points of articulation, He is fully passable! You can attach and detach his face mask thanks to the two embedded earth magnets. Aves Apoxie Sculpt was used to sculpture over his blank face. His gun originally came with a bent plastic barrel, so it was replaced with a straight metal tube. More photos available at my website, including close up shots. http://www.chrismoradascustoms.com

Somewhat inspired "The Secret Invasion". The first step was to sculpture the head using Ave's Apoxie Sculpt. It was a tough process, but after a week's worth of sculpturing, I was able to incorporate the Skrull look with Iron Man. Mission accomplished. As for his helmet, I purchased another twelve inch Iron Man that came with the detachable helmet, modified it in-order for the mask to be detachable. By the way his helmet is removable. This figure originally came with different set of LED's which needed to be replace in order to stay with the Stealth mode theme. Before painting this figure I opened up the figure, dug trough the electrical system, then replaced the two yellow LED's located on his chest, left palm with these neat red LED's. I also soldered on a small capacitor to prevent the LED's from going out... This also helps the flow of the current flow smooth. He is sound activated, press the button on his chest and he will say cool phrases like; " I am Iron Man", "Repulsor Blast", Target Engaged", Auxiliary Power"!. He also has a firing button located on his right arm which shoots out his power blast from his right and left palms. Launching/Flying sounds is triggered by lifting the figure. This figure is powered by 3X AAA batteries and has a small ON and OFF button located just above the battery door behind his back. The blue metallic lacquer paint was air brushed on with several coats giving it a nice realistic finish. All of the highlighting details was also accomplished by using an airbrush.

Thanks! Another forum member also mistaken this figure a Sideshow custom.

Ok thanks, and no it's not the photo, it really is smooth, I sanded it smooth with 400 grit sanding paper, then primered it, then sanded it again, this time with 1000 grit.

Last night while mixing color blends, I discovered a new color scheme for my Skrull project. Which color would you guys prefer? 1 or 2? I would appreciate it if you guys could post your feeds.

Originally Iron Man here came with different set of LED's, unfortunately they needed to be replaced because it did not go with the Mark II look. So I opened up Iron Man, dug in his electrical system and replaced these ugly dull yellowish LED's with these amazing 5mm super bright hyper white LED's. I had to use different layers of paint and polish to achieve Iron Man's realistic shiny metal look, aside from making him look metalic, I decided to also highlight certain areas and parts of his armor by airbrushing different shades of metal paint colors. Minor sculpturing was done on his head and also filled in the screw holes. His helmet can be removed and also the face mask is detachable.

Thanks a bunch!

Why thank you! Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but I know Mainframe is one of the past Avengers leader programmed by Tony Starks himself (Iron Man), programmed him with same abilities as Iron Man. As for Iron Nazi, For a short period Tony Starks chose the dark side to serv Dr.Doom and Doom demanded Stark to program this fella. I hope this helps.. DCU is the cleanest way to go if you ar customizing figures, overall I like the way they've sculptured the mold and it's simplicity, the only cons about it is the articulation part, then again that when I come in to modify. Thanks for the complement sir!

For this custom I used DC Superman Steel and DC Black Manta, the rest is scuptured.

Hey thanks! By the way I know this is off the topic, what happened? Are you still selling custom figs on EBay?

The helmet was originally from a scond release 12" Iron Man figure. I just took that helmet and sculptured over it, and I did use a exacto knife since the helmet is soft (Removable mask part). Glad you like it, thanks!

Hey guys after a month of hard work I finally finished the 12” Iron Lantern! Here's a YouTube of Iron Lantern's Sound & Light demo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMJ3JWGnCTs

As part of my Iron Man custom series project I promised my fans that I would include this figure. If you've played the recent IRON MAN movie video game, you will see Tony Stark transform into his stealth mode or you can say stealth amor mode. So for this custom figure I used the Iron Man Mark III 6" action figure as the base figure. The first thing that I did was crack open this figure and carefully installed one 5mm 16000MCD Red LED inside, one for the chest By the way these LED's that I use are intensly bright, I love it! I also aded a nice little On and Off switch on his back. After installing an O&F switch, I installed an internal battery holder that would hold 3x 364 button cell battery to operate the LED properly. You can easily access the battery by removing the battery cover located on his back. Another thing I want to point out is his helmet and head. With his helmet I basically took the another Iron Man action figure that came with the detachable helmet and modified it to have a detachable mask, then after doing that I carefully painted his face with different shades of flesh colors to give it that realistic look. Once all the parts were put together I used little bit of apoxie sculpt to smooth things out and sanded all the joint out to prevent paint rubs. Then again as usual I use Testors Model Master Acrylic paint due to it's bodys' soft plastic parts. I only use high quality paint to prevent paint fades, chipping, cracking, etc...
