Wow......now I'm kicking myself for not collecting this line from jump. They all look great.......

Don't feel too bad. It's been a pain in the neck finding them, almost not worth the trouble. I've been considering dropping this line once the new Masters of the Universe figures hit.

You're not too far behind, anyway, if you decide you're going to jump on board and don't have any yet.

These all look good. I like Dr. Fate especially.

That's the funny thing......I've pretty much seen every wave on the shelves at one point or another. I usually pick them up for friends of mine.

Ha! Thats too funny! Ya I've been trying to buy these since the beginning and the only set I've been able to get from a store is Wave 1, with no real wave 2, order wave 3, and no wave 4 or 5.

These all look good, but I will probably just get Hawkgirl and Dr Fate

How TALL is GIGANTA?

DANG! Another wave that I hardly want anything but the BAF/CTC. I want the Hawkgirl, but I might get Vigilante.

Wow, these always look cool.

But I'm in the same boat. I haven't seen ANY waves on the shelves here since Wave 1 about half a year ago. As a casual buyer, I don't want to buy over the net and only want a few characters here and there. We have a TRU, Target, 3 Wal-Marts and 2 Meijers and none of the latter waves have ever made it here. I just don't understand it.

Wow what an amazing Wave that will never be seen on retailers pegs. Enjoy the pictures of them on the net folks. 'Cause it's the only chance you have of seeing them.

They said Giganta is their tallest CnC yet. 10"? Or 12"

Robbie Digital, I still see wave 1 figures in my area. I honestly don't think you would have that hard a time catching up. Just remain diligent and check smaller retail chains in addition to your big box stores.

I love these figures! It's like the beginning of Marvel Legends all over again. Every wave has been great. I do wish we'd get the wild west version of Vigilante at some point, ideally on his motorcycle.

I've managed to get all of wave one, wave two minus Aquaman, wave 3 and WW and Ares from wave 4. Haven't seen 5 yet but I'm patient. Eventually they'll come. Oh yes, they will be mine.

I like this wave alot and I guess I'll try to get them. I haven't totally quit this line yet but I have definitely flirted with dropping it all together. It sometimes feels like Mattel doesn't want my money....

they only want your money if you live in a big city or live near one of the distrabution hubs. Cause thats the only places where people seem to find them on a regular basis. I'm Fin sick of it myself. But if you live in a small town or on the east coast you have to wait to get the left overs. My local comic stor guy has been waiting months for wave 3. If your town is lucky to get a case its frickin gone as soon as it gets there.

I called the only walmart i know that still carries the dc universe at all which is 3 towns over from me. They had one case come in and the chick i talked to said there was 5 people waiting and took them all. I cant drive that far at 2 am every night you know.

Ever notice how a lot of these DCU threads turn into "Mattel's distribution sucks"? I mean, they do suck, but it feels like not a thread goes by without people saying they can't find any of these in the stores. If mattel really does look at these kind of boards, why the hell aren't they trying to fix it?

I've gotten tired of dealing with Mattel in the stores so I've pretty much just been looking on ebay. I was able to get the whole wave 3 set for like $60 plus 7 for shipping, which is pretty good if you figure it is about $12 per figure after tax, and the ebay seller really didn't get much for shipping, so he basically did all my leg work. I'm waiting for wave 5 to become heavier on ebay so that the prices for wave 4 will drop. So, assuming the distribution will still be as awesome as it is now, if these start hitting stores next spring, I should be able to buy it in a year. I will let the scalpers on ebay cannibalize their own market, then I buy from them.

Yeah, eBay is probably still the best way to go. I got a deal similar to RockthePlank did. You just have to keep an eye on it and wade through all the auctions where people are trying to get rich.

This wave of figures is a little obscure, but the funny thing is they all look so good that I don't think it'd have any sales problems. That's the brilliance of the Four Horsemen's sculpting.

Another ball park hit, this wave is fantastic and a credit to the best comic book company ever..DC COMICS!!! However distribution is getting worse, I ordered 2 sets of Wave 4 and have yet to receive my second batch so my Despero since Sept has had only 1 arm. No word on any of the 2-packs or the Kay Bee exclusives, this is a horrible thing.

3 special requests --

1. Fix your retail issue for goodness sakes

2. no more chase or variants, I am a completist and would prefer them down the line

3. include a "growing" character in the wave in regular scale, that would rock!!

You think you've got it bad. Try Mattel's distrib outside the USA: VIRTUALLY NONEXISTENT. eBay therefore is the "best" option, which means currently paying about 4 times US face value, thanks to shipping and the mighty Aussie dollar. Worse, Mattel taunts us by putting a local distrib address on the packaging. Nice if it actually worked.

I can live without most of these. Fergeddaboudit. Pfah!!

The best option to get these figures is to order them online via someplace like Corner Store Comics or the like. I'm lucky to have a few places that regularly stock DC Universe figs, but given the hassle of getting them (often in the dead of night after some partying and drinking) is a bit too much. Granted, that's a good way to get variants, but the best bet is to order online. That's my motto. I've already pre-ordered Series 6-8 thanks to the hassle it's going to take to get Series 5.

logic! CSC has them for damned near retail. ive been having pretty good luck so far, but if i had to do the "online" thing, thats where i'd start!

DCUC have always had better articulation and look to their figures, with this Wave they have certified their stance as being officially better than Marvel Legends. At this time its like comparing Super Powers figures to Secret War figures, we know who the clear winner is. The only thing DCUC needs to do is some mega BAF's. I am sorry but at this time with the Sentinels and Galactus, even Apoc(however its spelled) ML still have the advantage. I want to see some major league BAF's in the DC universe.

This wave is awesome
