When was GL ever The Riddler??? Excess available parts???

It's a nod to the old Super Powers(only available in the Argentinian line Super Amegos, lol) Riddler, that was just a repainted GL figure. ;)

Yeah, everyone was clamoring for a "nod" to that figure

I may go for the light blue Supes. That's it.

I was actually very curious as to what the final 6" surprise for DCUC would be. Turns out Mattel is way more out of touch with the fanbase than I thought. They seriously think fans would buy these crap? A non articulated small size Mxyzptlk.figure for $30? plus shipping? And those lame repaints should not cost more than $10. Those are not new molds or anything new at all. Just repaints that nobody expected or want. So please just give up the DC license Mattel. This is complete BS.

And whoever came up with this should be fired!

Thirty bucks? Each? Forget the light blue Supes. They spent, like, NO money making these!

Thirty bucks PLUS shipping, so we're talking closer to forty. That's nearly three times what these particular sculpts originally sold for!

They literally went out to the shed of "standard male bucks" and painted them slightly different.

Meanwhile, at retail, Hasbro and Funco (a company worth--what--a fraction of what Mattel is worth?) are both making lines in 6" scale and not going belly-up. And their lines are SELLING! Something Mattel claims can't be done. But it's BEING done!

Take your ball and go home, Mattel.

Light Blue Supes and Mr. Mxy were going to be carded together in the Signature series...wow. Super Rip-off. and...WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU TELL US THAT?! You're trying to convince us to buy a pack-in figure for $30 and a repaint figure for $30! He must really like to rub that fault of the line failing in our faces, and get joy in knowing that there will still be people out there to shell out for scraps. Scott is the best villain this line ever produced.

Again, sticking w/ Public Enemies Mxy, and sooo happy that DC Collectibles is beginning to step up to the plate.

"The line is ending because you all wouldn't buy our product, and we just don't know why. However, we want to give you loyal fans these SP repaint figures to finish it off."

"Oh cool, thanks guys."

They'll be $30 each, including the 2-inch guy."...............*months later*........."Nobody is buying! See?!"

I love the Super Powers look. I'll be getting the "Big Three" for sure. I don't know why more people aren't thrilled about that Batman...I thought the only other time they did that color scheme was with the Azrael two-pack, and even then his chest had battle-damage.

If I was going to drop thirty-plus dollars on that Myxyzptlk, I pray to God that my family would love me enough to intervene and immediately have me declared legally incompetent and take absolute control over my finances.

Under normal circumstances, maybe. If it was fairly priced, maybe. But it's such a minor paint tweak, there are already SO many Batmans, and people have just had it with Mattel. They're just dangling something they know we don't have and telling us to bend over one last time.

That's just how I see it...

I like these a lot, and I like the idea, but I'll bet you $50 that they won't be bright and colorful like this when they're released, which defeats the whole purpose for me. They will be dull and neutral when we get them in our hands (maroon instead of bright red, yellow that's a tad brown, etc.), just like we've always seen from Mattel/DCUC. And that's why I'll have to choose not to buy them. Remember how jazzed everyone was for the Superman/Bizarro 2-pack where they're both in light blue costumes? We didn't want it because we wanted another Supes and Bizarro; we wanted it because they were in bright, light blue costumes that looked like comic book characters.

I want figures colored like they came straight out of the comics I've read my whole life, or at least like the Super Powers figures I had as a kid. So many DCUC figures let me down in that area that I'm afraid these will, too.

Did you guys say these were thirty dollars a pop?! (lol) Never mind...I'd rather seek out the real ones if I'm gonna spend big bucks. I'd have a more comprehensive collection to boot...

Is the Super Powers theme line a Matty Collector Exclusive, or will it be in retail? At any rate, it's not a bad concept. I'm sure there are people who wanted Super Powers verisons of Supes(Both light blue, and the Gold Superman which I don't think ever actually got released in the orginial Super Powers line), Batman(Though I think the TRU Exclusive Azrel 2 pack had a light shade of blue than this 1. Course that could be lighting), Wonder Woman with blue braclets, and Riddler who is a repaint of Hal GL(Scott did state that the Riddler will be in Spanish type packaging to further the homage). I think the repainted Kalibak is cool. I do agree with everyone thought that Mr. Mxylpltz should be a different price point. Maybe even take that money and use it to give fans a verison with a bit more articulation. Oh heck, people already are saying Mr. Mxylipltz is a pack in(Since he was suppose to have come with that light blue Superman in the Matty Signature Series), why not make him more like a Super Powers theme Accessory pack, with Mr. Mzylipltz as the main draw, and include stuff like Kryptonite, Batarangs and other Bat-gear, a mini Atom, and some other DCU theme accessories.

But it does seem to me more gear towards MOC collectors due to the special packaging, which has been 1 of the things I tend to notice with some of the really collectiable stuff from Mattel for their collector lines. Kind of makes me wonder if they tone down some of the collectable packaging, if the product would be cheaper.

Seeing this Batman, does conferm to me that Mattel at some point or other, knew they were going to release a Super Powers/1980's-1990's style Batman, which is why they did the similar looking Batman in the Azreal 2 pack with a scratch on his chest, knowing full well that collectors will consider to buy the figure again just to have a clean chest with no scratches.
