Toy Biz marvel legends will always be number one. They are the ones that started the build a figure model everyone else are just coping it. DCUC are just an overpriced copy cat
Mattel can sell you a Barbi for Five dollars and DCUC are about 16.47 at Target now. This may end up killing the line! As a parent, I wont not buy my kid this because it would end up in the yard hit by the mower or ate by the dog. They remind me of the toys from my childhood where they had different head/part but used the same body. Oh and didn't Marvel have on average about 32 points of articulation! What does DCUC have like 17 or something.
youre talking, what....6 or more years ago? you cant use 7.00 as a point, because they havent been 7.00 in years.
There are rules to how someone can formulate their own opinion?
You aren't basing your opinion on something like sculpt, paint, etc. you're basing it on 6+ year old price points and not considering inflation when comparing to today's prices. pooda's pointing out that it's pretty illogical to do that.
Well, I agree that comparing it to today's prices is unfair. But when Mattel first started ripping off ML with DCSH(this isn't an insult, BTW, just stating the obvious), ML was still $7 and DCSH was $10.
I do think it's interesting to see how many characters have been made in the lines. I mean, I would rather have really good figures of 10 different characters than 10 really good Batman figures.
None of them will ever beat Toybiz 5-inch Marvel, though. I mean, we got guys like Stegron the Dinosaur Man and Swarm!
so, if in 5 years marvel makes another line that cost 20.00 a fig, would it be safe to say that DCUC was a better line because 5 years ago the DCUC line were only 15.00? its funny how the only figures that get taged with the "rip off" is DCUC. almost every damned figure in the world uses the same method as ML, but the only "rip off" is DCUC? i think that shows a shift in power.(IMO)
