  1. Ugh! I was hoping it was all angles and glare obscuring the articulation, but I now see it is not. Some how, I doubt these are just mock-ups or prototypes...probably a cost cutting measure. I assume Hasbro thought that since they were "only vehicle drivers", they'd make 'em simpler. They know darn well that seasoned fans are gonna sizzle over that! I'll say it again: UGH! I just hate that inconsistency. What is this now, Star Wars?!
  2. Hmmm...goes without saying, but Hasbro really needs to stop using old toy molds for their vehicles. Hopefully, we'll get a lot more new stuff in the movie line and most of these are just initial releases or something like that. My only major complaints, though: this is they way the "new" HISS shoulda looked for POC and the 30th Anniversary lines...GRRRR!!! The other thing, the big ole Arashikage symbol emblazoned on the ninja vehicles, seems bizarre. I mean, these are playthings and all, but it seems so dopey...hopefully they are decals and not painted on. Figures, in general rock (for now). I kinda like the odd, possible nod to Spy Troops. Always loved that gimmick! Con exclusives just suck, 'cause they're con exclusives and therefore a pain to the average, borderline poor collector...*sigh*...good thing I don't get a "super awesome" vibe from 'em!
  3. Ehhhh...these are...kinda expensive. Collector Clubs *sigh*...I just can't get behind the idea in general. I just wanna buy my toys in-store for a reasonable price. Is that too much to ask? Yeah, I know...it is. I know interest also wouldn't be enough to merit a brick-and-mortar store release, so it's either online or convention with this type of stuff. There used to be a point in my collecting life when I thought I had more control over what toys I could get, and I was wrong! They are pretty neat...I love the retro style in 3 3/4 inch (well, 4 actually) scale. Maybe one day I'll at least get a Dr. Venom some way, some how...but by then, they'll probably be putting out the Intruders and Bulletman!
  4. Pff...they can coat him in cotton candy for all it's worth...these guys are too hard acquire anyways!!! All those new upcoming figures are all awesome, but I'd wish they'd either re-release or make more of them. I know it's an old annoying issue, but I gotta at least try nailing some sense into Mattel's collective head. Sorry, guess I'm just a bitter fanboy.
  5. Okay, being a Transformers fan, I suppose there is that tendency just to want to defend the flick, 'cause I like the franchise...but in this case, I really believe people are just being nit-picky, P.C. idiots. I honestly can't say I thought of the two characters of Skids or Mudflap as "racist stereotypes"...it didn't even pass my mind. The only racists are people who sit and wait for opportunities to pick out what they deem as "racist". Dude, you can't even define racism without sounding racist yourself! Bah! After walking out of the movie, I didn't come out offended by the twins mannerisms, or thinking Shanghai China is a drab Hellhole (by the way, since the scene was filmed in PA, is China knocking MY home state, saying it's a bleak world filled with old factories?!? Why I oughtta....),as a matter of fact, I was actually more "offended" by the overuse of crude sex jokes. You gotta admit...the over did it in that respect.
  6. *sigh*...yet another cool MOTU toy I won't be getting. Why do I even torture myself by looking at every one of these new figures? Heh, they may as well ALL be exclusives considering how hard they are to find. I really don't wanna be that bitter fanboy, but damn...I'm really hating you right now you Mattel.
  7. Ah, great...another great figure I missed. That's, what, five now? Hmmm...what Mattel needs to do is set the limit at two, because, seriously who NEEDS four figures?!? You know darn well what at least two of the four figures folks are buyin' are gonna end up as...eBay fodder...yep, that's right. Just make more if the darn things are selling out...what's the big deal? Just release the darn things in stores too. It's hard to believe that Toys R Us wouldn't take them...just look at the the weird crap they sell. I can easily envision them pushing some of their Blue Dragon and Doctor Who figures to the side to make room for these apparently mega-popular collectibles. Sorry to whine, but I'm suffering from a lack of vitamin C...common sense (in regards to Mattel's decision making).
  8. Don't get me wrong...giving obscure characters some love is nice, but (in my opinion) some of the selections really...uh...suck. They could've picked some better characters. I wish they'd do some multi-packs or boxsets for supporting characters like Mary Jane or Gwen Stacey...you know, have one superpowered guy or guys with a normal person...that kinda stuff. I'm picking Grim Reaper, 'cause we need some bad guys!
  9. Okay Mattel (and Hasbro, if you're listening), please knock of the point saving crap. Just sell the darn figures in normal brick-and-mortar stores...PLEASE!!! I certainly can't go to CA to get the Anti-Monitor and I have no faith in your stupid website after the MOTU figures slipped through my grasp. Cripes! Oh, and stop the build-a-figures too, they are annoying and insulting! Stop the fanciness!
  10. They look awesome...BUT...I don't even have the first three or four yet. I don't know whether to thank Mattel or to shake my fist. I wish I knew for sure if they were gonna reissue the first few figures or not, then I might consider making an effort to obtain these. eBay isn't much of a help unless you wanna pay double, triple, or even quadruple! I wish they'd set the limit at two per person instead of four. Hate to go on a fanboy rant, but it's gotta be done! On the bright side, I love some of the "modernized" extras they threw in, like Hordak's staff and Tri-Klops' daggers and drone. Nice! I love how they made the red imp into a figure instead of just a flat piece of plastic like the original. Kudos...if I can get a hold of them that is......
  11. Hmm, was just there yesterday...didn't see anything...probably an early release fluke. It's sad how the old Toybiz Marvel Legends were larger, came with a comic, base and (sometimes) accessories for around the same price these are gonna go for. Times are a-changin'......at least Wolverine's swarthy hair makes it all worthwhile!
  12. Neat how they gave one guy a removeable helmet...I'm guessing he's the only one, though...but why? I kinda wish they'd released a set like this months ago. I hate not knowing if or when Hasbro will release troop builder sets like these. Every time a troop figure comes out on single card, I always wonder if I should buy multiples or wait until Hasbro releases a multipack!
  13. FINALLY!!! DR. MINDBENDER!!!! I saw what is supposedly supposed to be a movie vehicle prototype over at hisstank.com. Of course, you can make speculations 'til the cows come home.
  14. I wish they's actually make the weird obscure supporting characters as toys. Double darn it! I want a wiper (viper) with sqeegee and bucket! Hector Ramirez would be awesome too! Shipwreck's mermaid girlfriend...that creepy weirdo from that toy island...that old crazy kelp harvesting Cobra trooper stuck at the bottom of the sea...so many! Yeah, I'm sure you think I'm nuts...
  15. I've been wanting this thing for a while...but have yet to see it since the toyline came out! When is it coming out? Has it been out? Would be nice to know...never heard of an official release date for the accursed thing!
