  1. Here, I just focus on headlines but other toy sites are getting updated faster than TNI.
  2. if u buy the quarterly version of the sub u save some money I did that last year and it works. I am going to buy 2 this time cause I love the 200x series and toy line
  3. I guess maybe toy fair will shed, some light when these will be available.
  4. I am perplexed on when the 6" Deluxe Han Solo in Hoth outfit with Tantaun will be available some sellers are saying March other sellers are saying June. I have never seen a bigger month discrepancy on sw toys. Besides the next wave of 6" figures with bbts.com saying this month and other sellers saying April. Just kinda weird.
  5. I agree. I think the league needs to hand out punishment soon on the Pats for next season and then focus on the superbowl. But since the game is a week away and nobody cares about the probowl. This is the news story right now. I think the story will slowly go away next week as we get closer to the Big game. GO HAWKS!
  6. Not to early principle photograhy is done. Abrams is just working on special effects, music, editing etc. Special effects take a long time to add to a movie close to 6-9 months. Then editing then additional filming then music. Then trailers then media hype advertising then premiere. Then more advertising. It will be fun next December to see multiple cast members doing the talk show circuit promoting this new STAR WARS movie. I cannot wait
  7. QC issues? Definitely. They've been seen on all Mattel products be it MOTUC or DC or Ghostbusters and I hate it just as much as anyone. For the prices we pay, there's no excuse for that. But as far as that goes, I'm not convinced that it's Scott sitting there operating unchecked with a mandate to "give them crap" every time and I will be very, VERY surprised if all these QC issues are magically gone after Scott leaves (for what little is left of the MOTUC line, of course). Regardless, this falls into the category of stuff I've mentioned before. Shoddy QC has been a Mattel MO for a while and they show no real interest in fixing it. We know this about them and some still choose to give them money. Even if it's a 50/50 chance that your figure shows up in the mail with crappy paint slopped on its chest. It's not right but if we decided that getting our toys trumps all that, then that's the individual collector's choice. Again, we just gotta know who we're getting into bed with when it comes to Mattel. That's all I'm saying. I agree somewhat but at times I feel Scott was lying or not telling the truth in some videos. I think the YouTube videos hurt his reputation and Mattels reputation at times. I also hate that Plundor was made over more popular characters especially characters from 200x that probably will never get made.
  8. Sorry, had a lot of thoughts there. I don't see matty.com lasting past 2016 because of motuc going away unless motu and Ghostbusters movies get made and there are exclusives for matty.com. I think Scott's absence going forward will give us less of a face of matty.com and mattel cause I don't think the new brand manager will be as visible as Scott was. I personally am glad motuc is ending next year cause I personally collect a lot of toy lines and one less line is ok for me. And SW will fill my need for 6" figures. I just would of really liked to have a complete Ghostbusters line or at least a courtroom Egon and an Ecto-1. Maybe someday.
  9. But Neitlich didn't do any marketing, that was left to the fans. It was always Neitlich that told everyone else to spread the word about the line. It's possible that MOTU has a special kind of lasting appeal, a kind of magic that other modern or old properties don't have. MOTU was one of the most popular toy lines 30 years ago for a reason... IMO, MOTUC has done so well because of nostalgia. Period. Young justice is just another rehash of the DC characters and the 2011 Thundercats was a reboot, which might explain the lack of interest in toy lines based on those incarnations. I for one never thought $20 figures of He-man figures would ever fly and if u remember the first figures and buzz was not there till the figures sold out and Hezman and Skeletor and Beastman were going for $80 on ebay. So, I have to say the scalpers and knee jerk fans helped keep this line alive. Because the scalpers who want big money are gone and the line is dying next year and I personally still HATE POP. Also, the demand for these figures especially pop and NA figures has dropped off dramtically. I never thought it would take a few days for Blade to sell out in April but it did. The demand has dropped off considerably because of character selection and price and the sub. All in all never thought this thing would go the distance. At least I got some cool Ghostbusters movie toys.

  11. Here's hoping for a 200X mini sub. I would get that sub in a heart beat.
  12. These forums need a like button. I am definitely with you I want those figures so bad. It sucks we have to wait til 2015 for Luke. But I guess next month we will have Han. I kinda wished Hasbro would if made the heads interchangeable on the stormtrooper. All the collectors would of bought up all those extra regular Han Solos and that way we would have extra stormtrooper belts for when Hasbro releases Tatooine farmboy Luke.
  13. I went to a Disney store here in Washington state in Tukwila and got Luke Bespin and Obi Wan Kenobi for $14.99 each. They also had slave Leia, Han Solo, and Greedo for that price. Looks like they are trying to move out their old stock.
