MOTUC Faker coming to NYCC

My only real problem is the hair because it doesn't look like it fits the head. He-Man's hair is longer and more full, but Faker's looks shorter, which doesn't make sense because you'd think they'd be using the exact same He-Man head. My big fear is that they've changed He-Man so he looks like this.

I kind of wish they'd made Faker a regular figure because of his popularity. With this, Faker will become an exclusive for the second time, just like in the 200X line. I know they're doing it because he's a straight repaint with no new parts, but just because it makes sense to do him as an exclusive doesn't mean it's the best option.

I posted this over at He-Man.org, too, but I figured I'd put it here since this board has been so dead. It's an edit of the Faker photo from MattyCollector.com with the He-Man head we've seen from the prototype.

And an exclusive bonus for TNI posters only: another edit with more traditional colors.

Agh! Why do they keep making Faker exclusive? The first one was in Toyfare, and now this will be even more limited! Well, my fault for being a fan of evil robot versions of heros.

I'll have to be on the ball to catch this one as soon as it hits mattycollector; I know King Greyskull sold like hotcakes (and you know how much collectors like hotcakes?)

Actually, it looks like Faker will now be offered as March's figure on MattyCollector.com, and Mer-Man has been pushed back to April. So, I assume that means there will be the standard number of Faker figures available when he goes on sale on MattyCollector.

WHAT!?! The Great Ocean Warlord will not stand for this insult, nor will his fanatical armies taste plankton 'til their master wrecks his vengeance! You shall rue the day for this poor decision, Matty. RUE it!

Oh, awesome! Good to know; I need my poor excuse for a He-Man double! It's funny that, out of ALL those various characters in the He-Man line, Faker was my favorite figure. I still remember getting him from my uncle for christmas....that, and Flipshot.

Faker was always my favorite, too. I got him the second time around, when he was offered in 1986. I was already aware of him, so when he was back on the toy shelves I was pretty excited.

I remember getting him at the local drugstore on his first release and he was always a favorite!
