So, this was one of the MOTUC figures I was waiting for, I had one MOC for about 10 years back in the day and then finally broke down and sold it. I wish they did a single pack, but I like the idea of a 2-pack because everyone will probably want more than one anyway... So I gotta ask, how many do you want to get?

EDIT:

Video review and images are up on the main page!!!

Just one set for me. I'm gonna try and remove the battle damage paint with nail varnish remover.

I really wish the visors were slimmer. There's just something about the wider visor that kills the figure for me.
My one sub pack for me, although I'm considering getting a second one for the He-Man and Hordak option.

I don't buy anymore but I'm so tempted, even with the visors that are a bit off.

I'd like to have one just to put He-Man's head on. I love the Secret of the Sword.

These are pretty cool... but will require modifications. Always a sad fact about this line is most items need to be fixed to make them the way they should be. I just might have to cut the head post off to give the head the lower height it needs. If it's a matter of the armor sitting too low because of how loose it is, then that should be an easy fix also... but the point is we shouldn't have to make mods to our figures. They should be done right by the evil toy company.

agree with you man, almost perfect except for the eye parts where they appear like bee robots or something. will still get them anyway.

I'm sure if the heads are positioned all the way forward, the eyes will be more accurate. However, the head sits too high and will require modification if one so desires. I just might try drilling a deeper hole into the head so it sits lower on the post.

I would troop build them but I can't afford extras this month. If they are released again, then I'll get a few more sets!

Well, I wanted to get 2 2-packs but after the sticker shock I got Seeing I ordered a pack for a buddy of mine as well as Mantanna for him as well. It came out to little over 200 bucks. I am hopeful that Mattel will reissue the Horde Troopers like they did the Snake men. Needless to say I was able to get 2 of the 2 packs and Mantanna. So I did well.

I missed out on yesterday's sale. I'm interested in a pack, or even just 1 "clean" version complete. If anyone can help out please PM me. Thanks!

People are making a killing off these on ebay. They're already going for upwards of $100 or more.

I'm not sure why Mattel didn't produce a TON of these since they were in very high demand by the fans? Just doesn't make good business sense to me since people had been asking for them since before the first "army builder" pack with the palace guards was released...

Because Mattel's top clients are resellers, they buy the majority bulk of the product and sell it at a mark up. Mattel has to tread lightly to keep them as customers, which is why they allow them breathing room to sell on BBTS, ebay, etc.

I finally got around to reviewing this set. Here's the link: Horde Troopers Review

This really has been a stellar year for MOTUC. I hope Mattel finds some way to get these figures on sale again since they seem to have greatly underestimated/ignored the demand for these.
