Let's be honest, this is the line up you knew was coming. Blacks, Muslims, women, mixed-race, kids...heck, even an android! Everyone's represented here...except the white male. Well, maybe it's still Tony in the Iron Man suit. Just keep that helmet on, sir, and hide your currently-unpopular white male self. Then again, maybe it's Pepper Potts in there.

Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure Nova is caucasian although to be honest I don't really know or care much about him, I hate that they got rid of Richard Rider(the one true Nova) to shoehorn in this guy. Don't forget Luke Cage's Mighty Avengers which are made up of mostly African Americans and hispanic superheroes, Marvel has been hitting the PC angle for a good long while. As for this lineup don't really care one way or the other; most probably it won't last long. Shame too I was kind of fond of the previous lineup.

That's why I called it the line up you knew was coming.

I guess I"m not condemning it one way or the other, I'm just calling it for what it is: political correctness. As far as what I think about the characters...

Wilson Cap: I have no more of a problem with him than I did with Bucky Cap. One of Real Cap's sidekicks filling in while he's out? Fine. Heck, I'll even buy his figure when they make it.

Lady Thor: I'm kind of interested. I have been getting good runs of Thor TPBs. When her series hits TPB I'll probably grab them too. And I'll probably buy her figure when they make it.

Ms. Marvel: I have some of her early issues. Definitely has an early Amazing Spider-Man vibe to them, so I think they're all right. And I'll probably buy her figure when they make it.

Kid Nova: Couldn't care less. And I'll probably pass on his figure when they make it.

Ultimate Spidey: I ignored the Ultimate universe. In fact, I hate alternate universes in general. They only exist so the editors can go to the well for the next mega "event" (Right, Secret Wars and Convergence?) If you're a fan of the Morales character, more power to you but for me, if it's Spidey, it has to be Peter Parker. Accept no substitute. And I have already passed on his figure.

But since it's comics, status quo will return eventually (I'm guessing around All-New All-Different Avengers #40).

See that right there is my problem with Captain Falcon... but I won't do this again; let's just chalk it up to political correctness, which is what I also attribute to Lady Thor(meh). As for Miles Morales I have no problem with him, I haven't read anything from the Ultimate universe since the original Ultimates so I don't know much about him, but I don't mind him sticking around in the 616 universe once Secret Wars ends. It would be nice if Peter Parker takes a mentor role with Miles training him and showing him the ropes harkening back to when Peter was a High School teacher. I agree that Peter Parker should always be Spider-Man just like Iron Man should always be Tony Stark, Green Lantern should always be Hal Jordan, Barry Allen should always be Flash, Batman should always be Bruce Wayne, Thor should always be Thor, etc.

I'm not really interested in figures of any of them since I already own the Miles Morales, but most probably be made and paired with either a figure I want or a piece of a BAF I really want.

I just see this as another attempt to throw something at the wall and see if it sticks, to draw attention to itself and try to maybe (and in all seriousness not do it for very long) bring in new readers. No different then killing off major characters or trying to tie into real world events or something else that's popular or cool (like the upcoming Attack on Titan/Avengers book or making all the Avengers more like their movie counterparts). Eventually this will end or change and no one will care. This could be a good interesting book, but I'm pretty much done with Marvel. I use to read about everything and now and only getting Amazing Spiderman.
