No, because as it has been pointed out, the ACTUAL PRODUCT show at JoeCon has the canopy. It is rubberbanded on.

It doesn't look like Tripwire has the quilting that everyone was getting upset about. I wonder if this is a prototype, a change in the actual product, or if my eyes are deceiving me.
On a completely unrelated note, that blue Firefly is just begging me to be turned into Shockwave. All he really needs is a bulletproof vest and the cap.

That's currently my plans, change Firefly into Shockwave

Nope, kind of unfortunate, but what can you do. At least we're getting him.

I've noticed the same thing too. Not only here but at HasbroToyShop.com. I think they've probably made a running change due to fan reaction, because some of the people who have him in hand at Hisstank.com have a quilted one.

First pic shown at the con:

Even though the camo pattern on the first one is more true to the original, I think the new camo pattern looks quite a bit better.

I can't wait for Wraith because I'd like some new Joes that aren't dullards named things like "Double Blast" or "Mr. Capture Net" with zero identity. Heck, I'd settle for a well done Hi-Tech or Overkill, but preferably not before someone like Dial-Tone or Wet Suit.
As pumped as I am for most of these I have to say I'm not really satisfied. Doesn't sound like a typical Joe fan, eh? Hah... What I mean is, I was hoping to see more from the 85-87 area. You know, the Sunbow cartoon alumni, who I really don't need to list. I'm glad we're getting Slipstream and Dusty... but y'know. Drop in a bucket, right? Not alot of time between now and the film, really.
I have no idea what market the "Combat Heroes" are for, but I hope someone somewhere enjoys them.

you shut your face!
That funky camo pattern aint Dusty!
I swear, Hasbro has it out for me. They make it a point to ruin my favorite characters. First Namor, now Dusty?

As for making a Shockwave out of Firefly: battle pack body, repainted Viper flak jacket, and maybe Gung-Ho's hat? I don't have that stuff in front of me, but I think it would make a decent LBC.
For the sea captains 3-pack...why another Torpedo? Why not make a kitbashed Keel-Haul out of the new Hawk figure's torso and maybe a new hat? Heck, you could probably even use some existing head and just repaint it. I like the Torpedo figure that we have, and even this color is okay, but I don't see him as part of the sea-going command structure.

I think that's the ONLY version of Dusty that's been announced so far.
No single carded version of him.
