  2. Just wanted to say thanks to Dave and Rob for the great interview. I'm glad to hear the support and appreciation others have for what I love! Flag Points #11 • November 16th, 2011 There is a man who owns every packaged G.I. Joe Figure and Vehicle/Playset 1982-Present. Let that sink in. There very well may only be one man who has everything 82-Now, actually, and we at Flag Points got to talk to him! Dan from Dan's Joes spoke to Dave and guest host Rob from joeaday.wordpress.com about how he attained it all throughout the years. He shared his Joe memories and even dropped a quiz question on us. You have to check this one out. Don will be back next time, so fear not! Oh, and if you dare, take a look at Dan's collection here: Pictures by Dansjoes - Photobucket Get a box of Kleenex first. You'll need it.

  9. In 1985, I received my first G.I. Joe figures: Mutt & Junkyard and Flint. I don’t recall why I selected these two specifically, but I remember as a kid always wanting the figures with animal sidekicks, so that have been my reason I got Mutt & Junkyard. I remember countless hours of playing indoors and outdoors with my Joes! Although I went through different stages of what my favorite toy or toy line was, my interest always went back to G.I. Joe. I remember getting a Crimson Guard in my stocking for Christmas and my Dad assisting me when I got vehicles that needed stickers to be placed on the vehicles. I remember the year I got the Night Raven, I carried it upstairs into my parents’ bedroom, and woke my dad up asking him to come downstairs and help me apply the stickers to it. Over the years, I would acquire a fairly large collection of G.I. Joes. I wouldn’t consider myself a collector at this time because I was a kid, and my toys were meant to play with and use my imagination in creating different stories. I remember playing for hours in the sandbox, the yard, at school, and at friends’ houses. Simply enough, G.I.Joe is a connection to my childhood. I think we as adults often get wrapped up in life, and forget the innocent times we had as children. My imagination ran freely, and my ideas weren't judged by anyone. G.I.Joe allows me to keep a constant connection to my childhood which I hope to share with many generations.
  10. Congratulations to JBL! Impressive collections! I want to say a huge thank you to AFS and Jedi for their hard work and participation in this contest. Without their help and assistance, we wouldn't have done as well as we did! Thanks guys! Dansjoes.com www.ultimatetoycollections.com
  11. As far as my pic...why not...its all in good fun. In my opinion, nobody participating in the contest should say anything about each others collections. We should just enjoy other members and the judges comments and opinions. People know what pics were submitted, so I didn't see the harm in throwing in a pic. Everyone just needs to calm down, and let the members/judges decide who has the ULTIMATE TOY COLLECTION....I mean my site is UltimateToyCollections.com for crying out loud...LOL...just a joke...just a joke! Have fun everyone...
  12. Sorry...I didn't see the rest of the postings by Action....hopefully that will put everything to rest.
