  1. Sorry if this has been posted already, but as I was browsing Toys r Us today I happened upon 4 new Dark Knight Movie Masters figures. I know a lot of people have been asking if the Movie Masters were making a come back to retail so i figured you guys would be interested in this find. The 4 figures I found were: Scarecrow in suit, Night Vision Batman, Rocket Launcher Joker, and Two Face. They also had the figures in the clearance aisle so I got each of them for $5 each. Not bad if you ask me.
  2. finally got wave 11!!

  3. As bad as the cross-over was I think this is a pretty cool idea. It'll give people who weren't able to pick up certain figures initially another chance to do so. Including the comic would be nice, too.
  4. After read that Mattel would be sending shipments of jlu 3 packs to discount stores I decided to stop by my local Big Lots. I didn't find any 3 packs but I did find a bunch of single carded figures for $2 each. They had: John Stewart in Hal costume Booster Gold Superwoman Parasite Dr. Fate Sinestro in Sinestro Corps costume
  5. A lot of the Targets in my area (Bay Area) have the older JLU 6 packs for $7.49. Not bad for 6 figures. Great buy for customizers!!
  6. I understand Mattel is trying to get to everyone in the DCU but I could have done with out Killer Moth.
  7. I really liked the DCUC Nightwing as opposed to the DCSH version. Two others that caught my eye are the maskless Deathstroke and the removable helmet Orion.
  8. One name.. Martian Manhunter after seeing that god awful Superboy I wouldn't be surprised if Mattel made Manhunter in his "modern" costume as opposed to his better looking "classic" outfit.
  9. It looks like the 25% off sale helped A LOT.
  10. this is what stopped me from getting them right away. they come with different size clips to fit the different body types. I wonder if the clip for the female body type would fit around one of the bigger figures' thigh??
  11. They don't have that one. They do have a bunch more though. Off the top of my head I know they have Ethan Van Sciver, David Mazzucchelli, Jim Aparo, Alex Ross, and the Brian Bolland Penguin. I was really hoping I could get the Bruce Timm one. But someone had gotten to it before I had. @grumpy@
  12. So mattel is reusing old parts. what else is new?? As for them using an "old" figure design as the basis of these "new" figures, I'm pretty sure thats why they used the term "retro".
  13. My local comic shop is having a Christmas sale going on at the moment and part of the sale they have is 40% off all statues and busts. So today I decided to pick up the Ed McGuinness Batman Black & White Statue. Let me just say this is a great item. I know collecting a bunch of Batman statues could get monotonous but now that I have this one I kinda want to pick up others, if not the rest. I would have hated myself if I had passed this bad boy up. And for only $48 compaired to $80!! I have to say not a bad buy.
  14. I doubt it. Mattel would have to charge $80 for such a set on Matty. Cause, if you think about it, why release all 4 for less when you could just re-release the individual figures for $20 a pop.
  15. Ever since TNI posted pictures of the wave 13 figures I've been thinking a lot about them. As much as I like the line (despite how hard they are to find sometimes) this wave just doesn't grab me. Yeah, there are certain figures in the wave that I want for my collection, and for those certain figures the horsemen really came through, but for other figures they could have done a lot better. Don't get me wrong ALL of the figures are sculpted beautifully, but I guess my biggest problem is I wish they(Mattel) had done certain characters before others. I mean there is a huge fan base out there for the Super Powers line but Cyclotron, really?? and then you have, Superboy in, what I believe, is his worst costume of all time. Mattel couldn't have done a variant/chase of the modern Superboy costume?? And I guess for me the list goes on but I won't drag this topic on with my gripes. I will reluctantly be picking up this wave (hey how else am I gonna build my Trigon?... and don't say eBay!! hehe) in hopes that the next wave announced will have a better, more appealing cast.
