cost will be 49.99 USD(that about 8.33 a figure)- same as the first one with Superman, Shazam and Captain Atom versus LexLuthor and two fighters- i cant seem to pay that much for basically four figures - Guy Gardner is already out and available for 3.99 and the manhunter robots are the exact same figures- maybe if one damaged and the other wasnt -(five new figures) but nope- mattel got cheap again- gonna pass on these- sooner or later they'll be out as single carded figures and i can pick them up at discount

That's way too much to ask for six Infinite Heroes figures, even if they were all brand new, never released before. I can't believe Target charges $16.99 for a three-pack, either.

It's stuff like this that has me worried about Mattel. They're jumping the prices of their action figures like crazy. I'm not sure what their goal is, but it's leaving a really bad taste in my mouth. I had stopped collecting GI Joes in favor of DCUC and MOTUC, but given Mattel's prices, I think I might be going back to the 25th Joes (at least I can find them).

The best thing about this set is that by making it a TRU exclusive it won't get mixed in with the JLU boxed sets. Is Mattel just being cheap by having THREE distinct lines with the same exact packaging or did somebody think that was actually a good idea?

Regarding this set, even at thirty-five bucks, it's still over priced. A JLU six-figure set at Target goes for twenty-five bucks which is the most this set should be. That FIFTY DOLLAR Superman eight pack is absolutely absurd. This line continues to utterly fascinate me. I have NEVER, EVER seen such a self-destructive chain of bad ideas.

Any fool who buys these probably shouldn't be in charge of their own money.

Just a little clarification on price.

The 6-pack will be priced at $34.95. The Superman multi pack is actually 8 figures (Superman, Atom, Shazam, Lex Luthor Battle Armor, and 4 troopers. Here is the $50 item

Thanks for the clarification.

I agree with Neutron, though. These are still too expensive, and it's even worse when you consider the repaint/repack level of each. Fifty dollars for eight figures? After tax, that's approaching seven dollars a figure. When you buy multi-packs, the figures should be cheaper per unit, not more expensive.

And I'm not sure about Infinite Heroes, either. First, they have no "big name" characters in Wave 1 of the Infinite Heroes line, which is nearly suicide in itself. Then prices on the three-packs go up in some places, and now they're already heavily dipping into repainting and repacking figures in multi-packs with no real incentive for any collectors to buy.

This sucks

Oh well I will stick to only three packs

I wish I could stick to only 3 packs but my Targets are ones that increased to $16.99. No thanx!

Wheeljack find out who had the dumb idea to increase the price. Mattel? or Target?

I personally think this 4" scale figure assortment is a joke. The molds and paint jobs are worse than Toy Biz's original X-Men line, and That was back in the 90s. The fact that they charge over $4 for one figure is a crime. These figures SUCK. #WTF# I would rather pay $8 for any G.I.Joe, even if I don't know who the figure is, rather than buy this popcorn crap. @grumpy@

Even the 25th Anniversary G.I. Joes aren't that expensive by comparison. You get lots of articulation, outstanding paint jobs, and lots of accessories. Some stores are only charging $6 or $7 for them. Infinite Heroes come with poor paint applications, limited articulation, and no accessories. The $4 pricetag at Target right now is OK, but anything more than $5 a figure is asking a lot.

mattel shoudl really be ashamed of themselves for the 50 dollar price tag. their jlu set is 20 and has the same number of figures. granted these are newer molds but still that is a rip off.

Well, jakeeyes pointed out that this 6-pack will be $34.95 and the 8-pack with Superman and Lex Luthor will be $49.95. Assuming those are correct prices, before tax that's $5.83 a figure in the 6-pack and $6.25 a figure in the 8-pack. With 6% sales tax, it's $6.18 and $6.62 a figure, respectively.

Those aren't as horrible as I first thought, but I'm sticking to my argument that with the 25th G.I. Joes, you pay about that much but also get with it outstanding sculpt, articulation, paint jobs, and accessories.

And comparing these to the JLU sets really makes it look bad. A 6-pack of JLU figures is only $20? Wow. Apparently Mattel has a lot of faith in IH. Hopefully they're planning some massive brainwashing of fanboys to convince us all these are as great as Mattel thinks they are. :D

You know, Mattel probably could've gotten away with these prices if these figures looked better or they could've gotten away with these crude sculpts if they were priced cheap,

This line though is the worst possible combination... Ugly AND expensive.

Can anyone tell me if Mattel ever released figures other than Captain Marvel, Guy Gardner, Atom, Black Hand, and the rest of wave 1? I never saw Black Adam or any other single figures out in stores. As for the three packs, I've only seen the Gotham Police 3-pack and the Flash 3-pack. Has anyone seen wave 2, Black Adam, or any other 3-packs? Where are they releasing them? I've only seen them at Target.

When are the new 6 and 8-packs coming out? Is TRU the only selling the multi-packs, besides the 3-packs?

Thanks.

My area is the same as you described, Gaelinic. Only wave 1 IH stuff has shown up. I would guess if you give it time the new stuff will be hitting.

Yeah only wave one at my Targets.

TRU is where I saw Atom & Black Hand. I assume they had Black Adam too. However I refuse to buy them for $6.99.
