It says on the packaging, "NEW FOR 2009"... so yeah, I'd say the line itself will be released in the new year, like Transformers did last year. A wave or two of classic Joes, then Movie Heroes, then more of both mixed and matched.

Snakes and Timby here are the sneak peek set.

I'll take two!

So, this is how the world ends...

Not going for the kyewtsie-wootsie, oh-so-adorable killing machines. I guess this is where I get to save some money. All they need is a CC with a sound chip that screams 'Coooo-bwaaa!'

If you all like 'em, more power to you! Just a bit to saccharine for my tastes. But that's just me.

are stuffed animals too saccharine for your tastes as well? do you look at baby rattles and say glad they are babyish so I can save money by not collecting them. obviously they are meant for 3-6 year olds, I don't see how an adult could critique a toy aimed at children as too saccharine -- they are for children! toys for children the age that these are aimed at are supposed to be cute and saccharine. do you look at every product made that you don't want and think that you are glad you are saving money by not buying them. your comments just seem odd.

Umm... seems to me you pretty much hit the nail right on the head. Although I was going more towards the 'what-will-they-try-next-for-a-buck' venue, I can't say I disagree with anything you said, either. No, I do not collect stuffed animals. Or baby rattles. Yes, given the economic state today, I do look at things such as this, and am glad I do not feel the urge to own or collect them, ergo saving money for something else.

You are spot on right! And like I said, more power to you. Just not my thing. And as far as an adult critiquing toys aimed at children, well, seems like that's a good part of what this whole thread is about. I see a good bit of happy reviews - looks like critiquing to me...

To each, their own.

These are alright and as everyone has pointed out a blind man could have seen these coming (no offense to the sight impaired). My only thing is that this isn't much of an exclusive as I would call it a preview set. When I think of exclusives I think of something we won't see at retail like PD Destro or this years CC. But we all know that we'll see this set at retail, there is just no way that SE and Timber wouldn't make the regular series of toys.

I might get one or two for my son when they come out.. depending on what he likes and depending on the whole gun issue...I might have to hit up a homie to get the SDCC one, just cause, lol... I gotta get one for Viper Hunter too, lol..

They should have been called AMERICAN HEROES... :o

I remember a couple years ago, or last year, someone brought up wondering if they'd make these for Joes.. I'm a bit surprised they're making them, we'll have to see how it plays out.
