Sounds like it might have a similar tone to D&D: Honor Among Thieves and vox machina, which I am all for.

Comedy Central just greenlit a 10-episode animated series called Golden Axe, which is based on the Sega video game. The show is being produced by CBS Studios, Sony Pictures Television, and Original Film. Described as a hilarious and loving homage to Sega’s 1989 video game series, Golden Axe, from executive producers Mike McMahon and Joe Chandler, follows veteran warriors Ax Battler, Tyris Flare and Gilius Thunderhead as they once again battle to save Yuria from the evil giant Death Adder who just won’t seem to stay dead. Fortunately, this time they have the inexperienced and underprepared Hampton Squib on their side. Golden Axe voice cast includes Matthew Rhys, who will be voicing Gilius Thunderhead, a cranky battle dwarf with really bad hygiene and a bit of an attitude problem. Danny Pudi plays the role of Hampton Squib, a wide-eyed and inexperienced rookie adventurer who has always fantasized about going on quests. Despite his lack of practical skills, he relies on his optimistic and determined nature to compensate for his shortcomings. Lisa Gilroy brings to life the character of Tyris Flare, a formidable battle sorceress who is not only lethal in combat but also possesses a razor-sharp wit. Liam McIntyre takes on the role of Ax Battler, a fierce warrior who abides by a strong moral compass and possesses the gentle nature of a golden retriever. While he may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, his compassion and kindness far surpass his physical strength. Carl Tart, also known as Tart's Chronos "Evil" Lait, hails from Golden Axe III and is a total badass humanoid panther. Well, that's what Chronos claims about himself. But in truth, he's incredibly cheesy and completely clueless when it comes to reading the room. McMahan and Chandler are teaming up to write the first episode and lead the production of the series, with Chandler taking on the role of showrunner. Haruki Satomi, Shuji Utsumi, and Toru Nakahara from Sega, along with Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, and Toby Ascher from Original Film, will also be executive producing. Titmouse is the animation studio behind the series, with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina as executive producers. Golden Axe is a collaboration between CBS Eye Animation Productions, Sony Pictures Television, and Original Film.

C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa Figures From The Nacelle Company
Monstrous replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
that ship was so badass! i always wanted that when i was a kid, actually forgot all about it lol -
its a company that is making this, not a man, so it'd be "their over-priced other figures", not his. just a heads up. and what did you have in mind with this line? its advertised as non-articulated. nowhere is the word figure mentioned. these are meant to be basically cheap statues. beg neca to get this license if you want articulation. i mean this line only exists because the company has the printer and molds from what used to be imports dragon. ya'll just so negative on these boards lol

2001: A Space Odyssey EVA Space Pod 1/6 Scale Replica
toynewman posted a topic in Action Figure News
Shown below is the new Executive Replicas 2001: A Space Odyssey EVA Space Pod 1/6 Scale Replica are available for pre-order from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com with a suggested retail price of $1499.99. After several years of careful and exhaustive research and development, Executive Replicas proudly presents the EVA POD in 1:6 scale. This highly detailed and film-accurate replica will surely be a prized grail piece for any collector. In 1968, one year before humans first walked on the moon, Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke ignited the imaginations of people all over the world with the release of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Never before in film history had the concept of space travel been represented in such a sober and scientifically grounded way. When we saw the various spacecraft in the film, we felt a visceral, intuitive sense that we were experiencing what space travel would feel like, and how it should look. The iconic EVA PODs docked on board the Discovery (named Alice, Betty, and Clara) are among the most recognizable spacecraft in all of fiction, perhaps because they don't seem at all fictional. When David Bowman and Frank Poole pilot the EVA PODs, we are there with them, our hearts pounding. When HAL succeeds in killing Frank, and then attempts to kill Dave as well, we are there to witness the precarious struggle between humanity and its own created technology; elegant, ruthless, beautiful, terrible technology. Some of the most intense and memorable moments in 2001: A Space Odyssey took place on board the EVA PODs. Please note: modifications can and will take place if Executive Replicas find any major inaccuracies during production. Astronaut figures and other ship replicas shown not included (shown for display purposes). Product Features 14 x 16 inches (35.56cm x 40.64cm) Made of plastic, metal, magnets Based on the iconic sci-fi film, 2001: A Space Odyssey Incredibly detailed LED effects Box Contents EVA Space Pod replica -
