I'm pumped about these 2 sets. I hope we see a lot more 25th stuff this year after the movie is released. Hopefully Hasbro doesn't kill off GI Joe the way they did Indiana Jones with their movie figures. I really don't think they will though; this 25th line is a cash cow they'll be going back to for years to come, probably. For the movie figures, Shipwreck, all the Vipers, Arctic Snake Eyes, and the Cobra Gunship were the highlights of the movie line for me. I also really liked Storm Shadow - he looks great as an action figure, but I didn't like the pictures of the actual guy in the costume when I first saw them online. I'll still get one of each of the movie figures and vehicles, probably, but I'll try to get the less desirable ones on sale. Honestly, I may end up saving some money this year since I'm not army building new 25th stuff (besides these 7-pack sets).

When everyone says 'Duke arms' on Recondo, I thought you were talking about the arms from the orignal Duke and Flint figures, but it looks like the arms from the Best of 80's jetpack Duke, which are much better than the arms on the orignal Duke/Flint (as in they don't look weird and are less likely to break).

Outback has always been a favorite for some reason for me, and he looks great, and the vest does look badass. Chuckles was one of the first Joes I remember buying (started my love of real working holsters in the 3 3/4" scale). It looks like he has the Copperhead holster, which is OK, but would have been nice to carry over that gimmick to the new figure (like Tunnel Rat's holster that works really well). Would like to see the original shirt and ungloved hands on Chuckles in the future. Airborne was a great figure, but I'm not psyched about Hit and Run.

Would have preferred MindBender to have a plastic cloak (looked like soft-goods to me), and I don't remember anything about the Lampreys (they look fine, I just don't remember them at all), but otherwise the Cobra set will be purchased by me in multiples. This is a great way to army build at a reasonable price (assuming 7 figures for $30 like with the other online exclusive arctic/desert packs this year).

Hopefully having Cover Girl in the movie will help us get a 25th Cover Girl figure, too (same for Heavy Duty, for that matter). Yeah, Lifeline and Low-Light are must haves. I'm sure they'll release them in time.

Man, I hated Lowlight as a kid, but loved Sci Fi, Lifeline and Covergirl. Still dissapointed that we don't have Night Vipers though I have a feeling we will see more Classic figures after the Movie line like they did with Transformers Universe. I just hope they don't go to a freakishly weird animated line like Animated was, decent story, crappy looking figures.

I think the Alley Viper looks great, the colors everything looks like the original but with more details...

I think Hasbro must replace the BAT with the Night Viper or Heat Viper of the 1989 line.

Wet Suit is nothing impressive! Hasbro must add more color and accesories to it to make it look good!

I would like to see the viper upper arms and the lower arms of Flint with regular hands for Recondo. If they do that and give him his appropriate gear, he will be my absolute favorite of the line. I hope that Zap has a mustache by the time he comes out. I would like to see different web gear for Outback to match what he had in the original version, but so far the Flak vest is okay. I am not at all happy with the Airborne repaint for Hit & Run. I can see me just getting rid of him when I get the set. If they fix Recondo I could see myself getting two of the Joe sets just to have one in the box to look at. I am already contemplating buying two cobra sets so that I have several of the troopers. I am with many of you who would have rather had a night viper instead of the Bat. Not really happy with the bat choice. I hope that Hasbro reads some of these threads and makes some changes to these sets. If these sets are all we are going to get of the 25th Ann. before the Movie, they really need to put as much effort in to them as possible. I hope the Toy Rocket ship date is correct so Hasbro does have some time to make some adjustments before the release.

*wipes up the pool of drool* OOOOOOOO man I will definitely be getting these packs 1 of the Joes and multiple Cobra ones

Outback- looking pretty darn good, a can't miss figure for sure

Recondo- needs different arms but I can't really say anything else negative about him

Zap- looks pretty darn good, and I agree with whoever it was that said he looked a little like Obama, also has Zap just finish with something, whats that on the figure's right hand in that very first picture of him alone? #WTF#

Chuckles- I rather prefer the more subdued tone of the shirt, I just want a working shoulder holster and maybe a hand that isn't flashing a peace sign

Hit&Run- FINALLY, I admit I was losing hope to seeing this guy but hes finally here and hes lookin fairly decent

Wet Suit- I'd call this one the low point, they need a new head without the dive suit covering it

SPC Altitude/Ripcord- atleast they were willing to give us the real Ripcord, imagine how upset we would have been if they made him black in this pack as well

Mindbender- perfect, I couldn't have asked for more

Range Viper- really need to see an all geared up pic to make a good judgement but he is looking pretty good right now

Alley Viper- I never liked the orange and blue color scheme for an urban fighter but this figure pulls it off nicely

Lampreys- me likey, nuff said there ^_^ and that's coming from a guy who doesn't like the ARAH version of the character

BAT- they have their place in Joe history but they aren't my favorite troops, they would make nice decorations for a battlefield or in Minderbenders lab in the 'needs repair' pile

Night Creeper- Sweet, some awesome use of parts to make this figure really shine, it the front armor removable?

Strato Viper- one really great looking figure right there, real nice dynamic uniform and great use of parts, old and/or new

Now I just wanna see them all geared up and then I'll be content

Oh and im little disapointed in no classic Cover Girl either.

its much better then a production piece in my opinion, I'd like to thank Kamendreda for the custom.

Yes, and YES! And another HELL YES!

Check out my sig for any further questions. @lol@

Speaking of which, I guess I can cross Hit & Run off of my sig, even though I'm not really that satisfied with the way they did him. He's probably the biggest let down of the 2 sets for me. Depending on how they do his gear, it could make him better or a lot worse. ;)

I'm not really understanding the complaints in this thread about Wet-Suit. If they do his gear right, he'll look fantastic. So what if his head is covered...you couldn't see the face on the vintage one at all...

That's going to be a major key for pretty much all of them.

I think it has more to do with his look from the toon.

And that isn't to say we can't see a "toon accurate" version later anyway.

Meh, you wouldn't be the first guy with an outdated sig :)

What's wrong with Hit n Run? The only thing they could have done different that I can see is give him Duke arms instead, to be more ARAH acurate. Or is that what you're refering to?

The arms don't bother me. It's the head and helmet that look off. The camo pattern on his face looks strange, and that helmet doesn't look right.

They're a bit off, but not too bad. I like it.

The helmet looks off because it is removable (and I thinkt he red goggles are too).

uhm guys, Hit & Run is just a complete re-paint of Airborne. And stop complaining, go collect Barbies or something if you dont like it.

Well..... That was constructive. :D
