i dont know. i am realy dissapointed with that figure. this will be my first repaint from the motuc line. i have to make his brown areas clearer. he looks so dark. not a fan of the flocking. i saw a pic somewhere where a dude did a perfect flocking for this figure. this looks not good. maybe it is just me and i can change my opinion once i have him in hand.

This version perhaps ?.. I've read it was the one that was shown at sdcc Got to say I like the shine in the eyes & the over all brighter tone of the colors of it compared to what we have... In the end what we have though is not bad all in all. JAYC These pics show mossman having flocked ears did they decide to just do flocked ears or will what we be getting still be random between flocked & non flocked ?.. I got to say I prefer non flocked ears since the rest of his human parts do not seem to be flocked... hands, feet , & face are not ...

I wish the other head was on him in the package.

I also like the above pic better then what we are getting. He just looks like a green pissed off teddy bear now. He's too fluffy. And his ears being covered looks dumb. Why would a creature have their ears covered up like that. It goes against logic. He wouldn't be able to hear properly. Darwin would be pissed off at this toy.

I'm not upset with it, just disappointed.

I like it. Now that I see the carded figure the flocking seems tighter to the body and not so fuzzy. Mattel is going to try to fix the flocked ear issue, but even if the Moss-Man I get has the flocked ears a little googone with a q-tip will take the flock right off the ears no problem.

I don't care much for the Beast-Man head on him so I'll just display my Moss-Man with the second head. I know a lot of people like the grass green color of the prototype but moss is darker green and sometimes a greenish brown so I think Mattel opted for a realistic mossy look in the flocking. I don't have a problem with this figure now and I can't wait till he goes on sale.

I think he turned out great minus the ears! I think the darker shade is better too like toyman said! :) Synch, sorry buddy but Matty has said all figs are fair game to be released again but Wundar!

If they do ship out flocked and unflocked ears at random, would anybody here be interested in swapping unflocked for flocked ears?

It's going to be a crapshoot as to what Moss-Man anyone gets. Matty stated they heard us fans and will try to finish production without flocked ears, but also stated that since Moss-Man was alrady in production there were many already packaged with flocked ears, when you order him some will get him with flocked ears some won't.

A good suggestion was made to me by a member on Matty's facebook page. They said if your removing him from package to display and you get one with flocked ears take a q-tip and a dab of googone and the flock will come right off the ears not harming the plastic.

Kastor: Can you explain to fans what is a process of flocking and why different type of flocking was used on Mossman. The SDCC version was a deeper green and looked more like moss, whereas the final version is more a yellow green and fuzzy.

Matty: Flocking is done by first spraying a figure with glue and then shooting flock at it. The SDCC figure was hand-flocked by the Horsemen. The final figure is mass produced by our vendors.
