  2. Hrmm so on a whim I drive a little out my way to the Clinton, TN Big Lots since I keep hearing they may have Cyborg Supes. Well not only did they have him, they had JLU packs, Super Friends packs, A-10 Warthogs, Command Centers and Superhero Showdowns. I haven't seen this much new stuff in forever...Wal-Marts are bare and the K-Marts and TRU around here arent really busting with new stuff. But BIG LOTS...wow. Here are some pics. Anyone doubting or waiting on this needs to get off their duff and hit the local Big Lots. They may not have anything...but they may just have the motherload. @bounce@
  3. 1. Zev Senesca 2. Coleman Trebor 3. Pablo-Jill
  4. Is there any chance we may see better articulated versions of Robin and Nightwing in a future wave? So far most of Batman's villains and even Azrael, the Batgirls and Batman himself have all gotten nicely articulated versions but the only versions of Batman's sons are both simple 10 points of articulation or less statues. Both characters are extremely acrobatic and deserve figures that reflect this I believe. Thank you for your time!
  5. Heroes: 1)Hawkeye - I love Archers and Avengers. Just something badass about fighting with a bow to me. 2)Deadpool - Funny guy and my second favorite thing to Archers are Mercs. 3)Captain America - Always respected him and my brother stationed in Iraq is my own Captain America. #US1# 4)Gambit - One of the first figures I ever got and one of the first characters I tried to follow as a kid. @gambit@ 5)TIE:Moon Knight/Rogue/Punisher - Moon Knight just LOOKS cool, Rogue is a by product of Gambit but she is just as cool on her own especially now, Punisher is just cold blooded...and I love it! @pun@ Villains: 1)Dr. Doom - I can't explain it as Im not a big fan of the Fantastic Four but he is just cool. @doom@ 2)Sabretooth - Wild, Mean and Tough...not a big fan of Wolverine but 'Tooth can sell me a comic.@bananna@ 3)Taskmaster - I love Mercs. I love Mercs who are quirky. He also uses a bow sometimes. Nuff said. @rambo@ 4)Super Skrull - Wouldn't have said this a year ago but Annihilation completely sold me on this guy. @nana@ 5)Galactus - Size matters. @afroman@
  6. Kurt Angle Jake the Snake Roberts Ron Simmons (WCW) Undertaker
  7. Ric Flair vs. Sting Winner is: Sting Mankind vs. John Cena Winner is: John Cena Verne Gagne vs. Bruno Sammartino Winner is: Verne Gagne Goldberg vs. Big Van Vader Winner is: Big Van Vader
  8. Since Hogan had been taken and I didnt notice it only 1 of my first 2 votes (The Rock) counted. So my replacement vote for Hogan is Kane. If we are getting 2 more votes then I would put up Kevin Nash and...yeah Im gonna do it....John Cena.
  9. Actually that is pretty funny if that is what they told you. I did mention that I put some figures in layaway for my best friend but to say that it was half of the display would be quite an exaggeration. I put exactly 9 figures in layaway...one of each of the regular waves figures. I did not put in any variants or even box sets or two packs. Unless someone came along after me and put more in layaway I think they are stretching the truth a bit. When I left the toy department by my count there was at least one complete set of regular figures if not two complete sets. They had split several of them up on to end caps and even some on the top shelves stacked so it is hard to say exactly. They were not in a display instead they were crammed in the regular Marvel Legends section. There were at least 15 each I would guess of the Monster and Avenger box sets along with Masterworks on some more end caps. On top of that I am positive that every 2 pack was still there as well as each variant for those. In fact the four I picked up were not even hanging on the shelf because the pegs were so full. So I did not in any way shape or form clean them out. I hope everyone has the chance to find them as they are awesome indeed. If I find anymore I will check back here to see if I can help out members who might have a hard time getting them in their areas/parts of the world.
  10. Hehe yeah the Wal-Mart portion was $230.89 (whew), but I spent an additional $80 at K-mart and I believe $45 or so at Toys R Us. Plus I completely forgot another little bag of toys I got today as I went by Game Crazy and picked up 3 packs of Street Fighter Minimates and a Joyride Battlestar Galactica Silver Spar Viper. As far as open pictures I will see what I can do... Oh and the only variant I saw was Wolvy and I looked high and low for a LONG time for that Sentry. The stocklady working toys said someone about 30 minutes earlier had left with a buggy full so I have to assume he got the others. Funny side story to all of this was that while I picked up everything you see in the pictures I also went ahead and picked up a second set of the basic Wal-Mart wave figures for my best friend. I didn't feel too bad since it still left at least 2 complete sets on the pegs, but as I was loading the buggy I had two older female employees stand at the end of the aisle and say, just loud enough for me to hear them, "I understand when kids go crazy for these but it is just disgusting when you see the people come in and take all of the toys to mark up and sell somewhere. It is just sad." I just flashed them a smile and wheeled my buggy over to layaway and put my buds figures in for him and left. I didn't feel it neccesary to justify my spending or even try and state my case to these employees...I work hard...I spend my money on collectibles/toys...I don't sell them for profit...and yes...I help my friends when I can. I think they must not have realized there were 9 figures in this set and so 2 sets of these made 18 figures plus the 2 packs and such so I assume they just saw a buggy full of 20+ toys and assumed I cleaned them out of the rare stuff. Anyway, it was just the first time I have ever had someone essentially look at me like a scalper. Then again it was also the first time I EVER found so much in one place so I bet it did look funny!
  11. I don't post here much but I thought I would give a heads up since I just got VERY lucky. I just came back from running by Toys R Us, K-Mart and lastly Wal-Mart...and I had the best toy day of my life. I will let the pictures speak for themselves... Oh btw...this find was in Oak Ridge, TN. The Wal-Mart there looked to have 3-4 complete sets of figures (not counting the variants) and I did score one variant Wolverine. They also had probably 20 each of the Monsters and Young Avengers box sets. Oh yeah and all the 2 packs including variants, but I only wanted the Cap variant pack. On with the show: Oh yeah I also scored a complete wave of the VOTC Star Wars figures + 1 extra Biker Scout, 1 Utapau Clone Trooper, All 3 of the Titanium Battlestar Galactica ships, a Viper Lockdown set, and 3 sets of the Star Wars Battle Pack Jedi Temple Assault. If anyone has any questions I'll try to answer what I can. Good luck and get hunting everyone.
  12. Wow, I think these look pretty good for the most part. I see a couple that I might make a few changes to personally when I get them in my hands, and a few that might benefit some new equipment. With all of these and the Cobra Infantry pack, as well as stuff I still need to pick up...I'm gonna be one broke man for much of this year I'm afraid. Broke but very happy at least! @jump# As far as cutting on people for liking or disliking the product, well, if you can't handle that some people may have an opinion that differs from your own....I don't think you should stick around and torment yourself. I happen to love every opinion from CLAM to NC and back. While I will admit that I'm very much a fan of most things JvC and VvV it is refreshing at times to see opinions from those who don't like the product. These opinions can often help me see a figure in a new light or even at times to be even more excited or thankful for a figure simply because I -don't- see the same problems. Why should anyone feel they have the right or even need to call someone out over their opinion or taste in figures? That just seems like playground mentality to suggest that everyone else should only like what you do, and if they don't it makes them stupid, dumb, blind, or poopheads (or insert whatever childish remark you wish). Nope, everything is not perfect. I doubt it ever will be. Then again it never was to begin with. There will always be those people who love the originals and will never EVER like the new stuff. God bless those people as they at least have good taste. The originals were good stuff, hell they started it all and I loved my childhood because of them in many ways. Now I find myself excited over this new life that GI Joe has been given, and while it has it's problems, it also has given me countless hours of enjoyment. To those people who love the originals but not the new stuff, I respect your opinions, especially since you -love- the original stuff just like I do. I'm just sorry you can't take the same enjoyment out of the new stuff like some of us can, but we are all still one community. Joe fans. @bananna@ Everyone should be honest and outspoken in their opinions here. If you don't like it....let us hear why because I'm curious and I'm sure others are too. If you like it, well, we can sing the praises of Hasbro in harmony like the whos in whoville, but whatever anyone thinks just try to respect that everyone has an opinion. If their opinion is different from yours, don't attack the person, post your own opinion in difference and let's have some good sound debate over our hobby and less childish namecalling and tantrums. I think this place is plenty cool enough as it is. (Wow got carried away there...hrmm..ok Im done, I'm sure everyone is asleep now anyway.) In closing I have to say, even being a VvV fan... Kamakura!!! @puke@
  13. GvC...I have almost the entire ARAH collection and love them but there is still just something about the new GvC stuff that I love. They both had their flaws and their strengths but I gotta go with GvC based entirely on the fact that it has fueled my army building and customizing drive. Even though I grew up during the whole 80's-90's run we were never rich enough to afford the kind of army buidling I wanted to do. Plus I could never -think- about tearing apart or painting on one of the few Joes or Cobras I actually got. In the years since growing up I was able to purchase and fill most of my collections holes but in single numbers, I have no armies of Vipers or Crimson Guards. Too much work and money for a guy my age to army build ARAH figures. GvC is answering my dreams with testing army builder packs and even the much hated pairing of army builders with individual Joes has spawned my customizing art as I suddenly had many extra figures for chop shop. Anyway...just trying to explain my stance. While I cant deny how great the v.1 ARAH Viper is compared to say the upcoming GvC Viper....I have one ARAH Viper and I WILL have 20+ GvC ones...and I gotta love that. In the end you just gotta love that GI Joe is around at all to even debate this kinda thing, it's a great time to be a Joe fan ain't it? J
  14. It must be nice to be able to roll your eyes and proclaim all opinions that oppose your own as wrong! Oh let me try...        You sir are wrong and accept nothing but second rate crap!        Fun times.
