  1. Well, it's probably one of the most honest explanations... even if it was on the second try... we've ever received from a movie studio or a toy company. You don't have to read in between too many lines to figure out the film just stinks. I doubt though that it's problems will be alleviated by more Tatum Channing.
  2. What is Green Arrow trying to do here? His bow is empty. Is he about to shoot the sword with the bow?
  3. That's a pretty bad logo. Aside from being difficult to read (I see the "C" but I don't read the "D.") it has absolutely nothing about it that says "Comics." There's nothing fun about it. Then again... There's been nothing fun about their comics for years either! Zing!
  4. Unfortunately it sounds like the Avengers and Green Lantern sets are going to be based on their movie versions. Bleehhh...!
  5. I loved the JLU line but I also regard it as one of the most unpleasant experiences collecting a toy line ever. Mattel just asked too much of the collector and made it too difficult. That Eclipso six pack was just shameful and who ever thought of that one should be haunted with guilt for the rest of his life. After missing a bunch of hard to find figures like Atomic Skull, Volcana, the Key and Steel, I finally waved the white flag on this line. Fifty dollars for a figure is ridiculous. I wouldn't do it.
  6. I'm not confident in this line having long legs whatsoever. So far, I've seen most of these figures just sitting around. They just aren't nice enough to reel in the collectors and the general public just isn't ready for a twenty dollar action figure* regardless of whether or not it comes with a piece of a street corner! * Lately whenever the subject of the ever nearing twenty dollar price tag comes up, I remember DC Direct's experiment to sell their very first Wonder Woman figure through Kay-Bee at a price tag of twenty bucks! This was in the mid-nineties when most figures were still around five dollars! I don't think it worked out so well. I remember seeing those Wonder Women sitting untouched for a LONG time!
  7. Aaggh! That Young Justice Artemis looks terrible next to Green Arrow and Red Arrow. It looks like the two guys are standing next to a blow-up doll!
  8. Toy Fair is a little over a month away. I wonder if we'll see Wave 3 there.
  9. Yeesh! Well... This wave is a little more interesting than the first one but once again, I'm only interested in a single character of the line-up. Larfleeze in Wave 1 and Red Robin in Wave 2. I'll also add that while I don't care for the NuDC and find most of their new designs over-worked and unnecessarily busy ("Hey! The Flash has a great costume but you know what would make it look better? More lines all over the place!"), these Superman and Flash figures do look like nice representations of their look. Nice figures of designs I'm not interested in.
  10. I wish Sportsmaster just had a bit more detail to him. This may also be a naive question but does he come with any accessories? A bat? Hockey stick...? Anything?
  11. Here's an odd item... http://www.ebay.com/itm/A15-DC-UNIVERSE-GREEN-LANTERN-MOVIE-SERIES-TOMAR-RE-/320818702240?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ab248e7a0#ht_2321wt_951 It looks to be a Tomar Re figure from the Green Lantern 3 3/4" movie line however this Tomar is a repaint of a standard movie Tomar figure in a comic book accurate costume. Given that this figure is from a Chinese seller, it's unlikely to be a custom... and if it is a custom, it's pretty sneaky of the seller not to mention it in the description. I don't remember this figure being announced as part of the regular 3 3/4" line. Was this a cancelled idea? Any info is appreciated!
  12. I honestly wish Mattel included that light blue Superman in this wave instead of that stupid white Flash nobody asked for.
  13. I read the first issue. I really tried to give this thing the benefit of the doubt but it was pretty juvenile. The dialogue was obnoxious and the plot absolutely BEGGED the audience not to think about it too hard.
