DCUC blue Wildcat variant

Where does the idea of a BLUE Wildcat come from?

This figure looks good, but it's definitely much better in black. I don't know if this is necessarily a variant that needed to be done. I certainly would've preferred a Red Arrow much more!

Wildcat sported blue on many occasions,it is not known if it was intentional or due to limitations in coloring on comics back in the day,all in all a good variant, not essential to some and a nice added bonus for die hards and completists.

I totaly agree Dawg. I think dude looks better in black to. IMO the black brings out his boxer's taped hands alot better. Are there any pic of WC with his mask off?

I like this one waaaaaaaaaaaay more than the regular one. The only problem I see is that unlike waves 7 and 8 the online retailers aren't listing the variants of Wildcat or Mantis just the basic sets.

You mean the toy or comic ? The toys mask is non-removable.

Also that is a figure and not a 2-up.

well I did'nt think it was a 2up, but I did think the mask was removeable. thanks for setting me straight ;) . Now if they really wanted to impress me with a WC variant, then they SHOULD have done an unmasked version.

I think it looks pretty cool!!! I love the subtle changes, like the loose chin straps!! It adds a lil somethin to the variant, it's not just a color swap!!! I may get this after all!!!

ill take either version. the black matches b.canary better though. what they shouldve done was put open claws and no hand wraps on the blue version....then i would bought both.

well open claws is one way to go I supose, but to me WC is always gonna be a boxer 1st & for most.

I love the way he uses only his bare hands to put the bad guy on his ass. They don't make'em like that no more. Ted is a real MANS MAN!

The idea of a BLUE Wildcat comes from the University of Kentucky (UK) Wildcats basketball team:

GO BIG BLUE !!!

The chin straps are my favorite thing about the variant too. It just brings it all together so well

I gotta side with the Dawg.. why didnt they do a Red Arrow Variant? to me that would have been just as easy as a Wildcat..

I guess that means we'll just have to do a custom when GA comes out.
