Found in Louisville: Wal-Mart (Outer Loop, near K-Mart): Sigma 6 Commando Wave 4: all five figures, including black Timber variant. Marvel Legends Face-Off: Jigsaw vs. Punisher, Wolverine vs. Sabertooth (regulars only, no variants) Transformers Cybertron: Optimus Prime (monkey), Megatron (t-rex) Target (at Taylorsville and Hurstborne): Imperial Shuttle: about 10 left on display Mace Windu Battle Pack: two left on display shelf, in back of toy section, not with other SW stuff DC Superheroes: black logo Superman variant, Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Batman + Batgirl 2-pack Target (Outer Loop, behind Jefferson Mall): Imperial Shuttle: at least 20-25; most are with toy section, but some are in a random display off the main aisle between the greeting cards and picture frames Happy Hunting!!
  2. I picked up all of Wave 1 on the way to work today...except Astrotrain. For some reason, I just wasn't feeling that one. And I agree 100% that $19.96 (Wal-Mart) is too much for Ops and Meg. I actually stood in the aisle for a while and debated those, but was afraid I wouldn't see them again for a while so went ahead and bit the bullet. Haven't opened them yet, but from the packaging and photos, I can already tell that Bumblebee will be my favorite. Good hunting!
  3. Thanks for all of the input, everyone! To make sure I hadn't completely lost my mind, I went back and looked at the instruction sheet included with each Starfighter. Sure enough, it says "most R2s can fit into the socket" or something along those lines. So much for reading the instructions!

  5. I've recently picked up Obi-Wan's and Anakin's Jedi Starfighter. I can't seem to get any variation of R2-D2 that I have to fit in the droid slot on the ship. There are small plastic ridges in the opening that prevent the "feet" of the droids from sliding down into the ship. Am I missing something obvious? Is there a certain sculpt of R2 that's required? Any advice would be appreciated!

  7. the carding is NICE! are these the only figs in the 30th ann packaging, or will all of next year's waves have this style? and wasn't there supposed a Darth Vader in this set too?
  8. an all-around excellent figure! go for it!
  9. Just a heads-up to anyone searching for the newest Sigma 6 figures...I spotted one of each of these at a Wal-Mart here in town. These are Solider class, and have decent accessories, but I couldn't see dropping $10 each for figures I basically already have. And thus my completist approach to Sigma 6 is finally over... Still looking forward to the face-plate Cobra Commander, Zartan, and Lt. Stone though! (And probably Arctic Snake-Eyes so I can get Timber!)
  10. Yeah, now that some SW figs are more articulated, it makes the older ones seem inadequate. Guess Hasbro is looking at some serious cash if they redo most of these! Here's what I'd like to see for starters: TPM Final Duel Qui-Gon AOTC Kamino Jango Fett ROTS Final Duel Mace Windu (w/removable hand) ANH DSI Obi-Wan ESB Bespin Luke Hoth Luke Hoth Han ROTJ DSII Luke Extended Universe Grand Admiral Thrawn (please!!) Dark Empire Luke Asajj Ventress I'm sure there are more, but that's all that comes to mind right off. And it should go without saying, but these figures should have NO action features, just multi-articulation and nifty accessories!!!
  11. Yep. The only Scorch I have ever seen (and bought, of course) came courtesy of Walgreens. Now, we do have Chirpa's warming all kinds of pegs here in Louisville and I've managed to run down 7 DSGs so far...but in all fairness, that's involved a LOT of shopping! Can't find 501st troopers anywhere...even at Walgreens!!
  12. Wow. Once again, I bow to everyone's superior knowledge! Thanks for all the input. I think I'm going with the Jabba's Palace Luke (the one that's also in the new DVD 3-pack). I prefer the Bespin look, but that figure just isn't getting the job done. The only drawback to the JP Luke (in my opinion) is the knee joints that allow his legs to swing too far forward, which happens quite easily. If he's not posed just right, it makes him look like he has two broken legs -- not good in a lightsaber duel! Out of curiosity: Does anyone know if the new Endor Luke is the same mold? Thanks again for everyone's input, and more is always welcomed!
  13. Awesome, awesome links and info! WMs and Targets in my area are finally restocking the Greatest Battles wave, and yesterday I got 3 green commanders and 6 shock troopers. (Good timing I guess!) I also found another Death Star Gunner this morning when I went to pick up the DVDs. Actually, I found another Utapau trooper, Cody, and a saga Boba Fett that I've been looking for as well. I ended up only getting ESB on DVD so I could pick up the figs! Not real crazy about W7, but the "sleeper waves" look to have plenty of army building fodder. If I can ever find them, that is! Thanks again for the links!!
  14. Which 3-3/4" Luke Skywalker figure is the best? A few weeks ago, I asked this question about Darth Vader, and I appreciated everyone's feedback. I'm hoping to get some help here as well. I'm still using a Bespin Luke (w/ detachable hand), but it has very limited movement. Recent SW figs have been more articulated, and I was wondering if there was a Luke that stood out? I'm looking for best poseability and paint app -- a Luke that can stand up to the likes of VOTC Vader and the Evolutions Sith lords. Any advice/opinions are appreciated!
  15. I am jealous. Not $1500 a year jealous, but it's a very nice collection! Out of curiosity: how do you get them all to stand up? and how long does it take to make that type of display? I'm betting there's some serious hours of work in that!
