  1. I really enjoyed this movie. DC has been putting out some great movies with this, Green Lantern and even the Wonder Woman. This movie is based on the graphic novel "JLA Earth 2" written by Grant Morrison. The graphic novel is a lot more darker than this movie though. A few differences in the book such as Superwoman is Lois Lane, who uses Jimmy Olsen as a slave. Johnny Quick gets his powers from injecting drugs, he has bad withdrawels without it. And it has the Kyle Raynor GL instead of Hal Jordan. It is a violent book but a very good read if you liked this movie. It also ends very different. It still involves Owlman but Brainiac also has a big roll.
  2. I remember a Flash story, from way early in the Wally West Series. Where he was in movie theater with his girlfriend. Someone came in and started shooting the place up and All of a sudden Time stopped for flash. At first he couldn't figure out what was going on. One of the bullets had just hit the back of his head and his body reacted,on instinct. He then realized the shooting and ran around the theater grabbing all the bullets. He then took the shooter out and sat back down to watch the movie as if he never moved. no one in the theater knew what happened. Flash is Deffinitely faster.
  3. Hawk and Dove (Both the original and the two new girls). Checkmate Knight (The yellow and black suit from the 80's series)
  4. I have purchased all the figures that have been released so far and have been impressed with every one. I like the smaller figures but the 12 inch Ray that came out is spectacular. He comes with all of his gear and it is all very detailed. If you can afford one it is definitely the way to go. I'm looking forward to the future figures and I'd like to see Janine or Louis Tully (Vince Clortho)somewhere down the line. My son has the Real Ghostbusters DVD's and loves them, he has been trying to stealmy 12inch Ray to play with because everything is removable and the ghost trap opens. I hope they do release the RGB figures so that he can have a set to play with and not steal mine.
  5. ! in regards to my last post I was saying that if the Cops had just beat the guy up, Everyone would be coming out screaming Police brutality, and "why didn't they just tazer him instead of beating him up?" Everyone would want to sue the police and say how bad they are because they beat up some unarmed guy. The tazers were made so Cops wouldn't have to fight people and risk getting hurt. Second I never said that there weren't bad cops out there, but in this case they did what they were trained to do. You don't know what the original call was so you don't know why the cop approached the guy with his tazer out, ready to use. I read that the guy had just assaulted someone so the police were called. The guy was asked to do something and he didn't follow the orders of the officers, so Sorry Guy your going down on the ground. It's a safety issue. As for my "Credentials", I'm a Sgt with a local police department here in michigan with over 15 years exeperience. I have had many run ins with combative people and I have lost friends who have had bad run ins with people. And again I express the main point here. The Officer did his job and went home at the end of the day to see his family. For those of you who don't know, try looking up the Police Officers Force Continuum or ask an Officer. There are levels of Resistance that a person puts out and there is a level of control that Officers follow to deal with the resistance. It has been through courts and it is the main rule for dealing with people. Here in Michigan alone it is a Felony just to tell an Officer "No" if that Officer tells you that you are under arrest. It is resisiting and Opposing an Officer and was created because we are tired of Losing Police Officer who are killed everyday by suspects. There is a time and place for being all friendly and polite, but not when your are dealing with someone who may want to put you in the morgue. I have seen bad decisions made by Officers and I would be the first to say that it was bad, but not here. No way.
  6. Obviously no one in this thread is a cop or knows someone who is. Typical Monday Morning Quarterbacking. The tazer is used for Any Non Compliant suspect, meaning as soon as the person refused the direct order he could be shot with the tazer. This is to prevent the officers from having to jump on the person and risk injury to themselves or that person during a fight, as they do not know the person nor his fighting ability. Not to mention everyone complaining about the cops outnumbering and beating up a poor defensless person. #2 A person is not affected by the tazer and begins biting you and slamming your head into the concrete, then that constitutes Deadly Force against the Officer. That Officer then has the right to do whatever is necessary to defend his life or his partners life. Their goal is to go home to ther families at the end of the day also. So don't badmouth unless you actually know what your talking about.
