- Grade: B-, If they want an A, they should tier the quantity limits for MOTU. ex. limit 40% of the stock to 1 figure a piece, then place appropriate higher limits on the remaining stock.

a C+ , whereas the paint applications may trouble some , this has not bothered me , however all 3 of HE-MAN were put together shotty, the leg joints deformed sideways in the package and a problem with the flashing on the hair so when it was glued on making them look like mongoloids instead of barbarians, bit were fixable with an x-acto and super glue. This being a collector site , more attention to detail and assembly for the price should be taken .The biggest problem is the availability , as at first 3 was the limit , then 10, and still selling because of scalpers ordering them up just to make a quick buck on the secondary market. quantities should be limited to better guage sales from fans otherwise over ordering from scalpers can actually hurt sales and thusly kill the line if a bad or unpopular figure actually does come out. Shipping and billing have all been superb with no complaints.

1. I have bought all the characters of MOTUC except King Grayskull and missed out on Hordak.

A. I had no problems getting the figures I wanted! :) However, I just missed Hordak due to an emergency at work.

Customer Service:

A. I got my figures in a timely manner! Same amount of days every time! :)

Customer Satisfaction:

F. Despite EXCELLENT ratings above, I would say customer satisfaction is horrible. Packaging of figures was crushed, creased cards, dented bubbles, and RECENTLY I have heard that Digital River is lifting the plastic hooks on the back of the cards for some reason as they are packing the figures. Either China or Digital River seriously need to take better care packing these figures. I just hope Mattel doesn't pack crushed, creased packaged figures in white mailer boxes! :o

1. Bought 1 He-Man (took a month to arrive) & 1 Skeletor (never arrived, so lost my money, called Mattel but wouldn’t give me a refund or credit). Tried, unsuccessfully, to buy King Grayskull, Faker, Zodac, Stratos & Hordak.

 

2. I live in Puerto Rico, which is a US territory and use the same postal service, but don’t understand why SOMETIMES it’s considered international. Just don’t get it. Stamps and shipping rates to the US are standards here too.

 

 

3. Ordered Skeletor. Never arrived. Called several times. People were courteous, but unhelpful. Told me to wait. Now He-Man, the only figure I’ve received from Mattel, (I’ve gotten others through ebay sellers). Took a month to arrive, package arrived with damages, but opened the figure and I’m very happy with it. No doubt Mattel has put a lot of effort in producing these figures, and most important, to hear and to please fans, at that they’ve got an A+. About the mattycollector.com’s (dis)order procedure, it’s a nightmare, a chaos as well as the customer service. They should also increase the amount of each figure produced. At all that, they’ve got an “F”.

I have to give them an A for the fact I have gotten all of my orders in a reasonable amount of time and I have not had any major issues.

Fortunately, I have been lucky enough to get all the figures I've wanted so far.

Yes, I have had no major problems with MattyCollector.com.

I have been very happy and satisfied with all the MOTUC and DCUC figures I have purchased off of MattyCollector.com.

I would give them a C+ based on the fact I have been able to order the figures I wanted. But the fact that they have all come on damaged cards, except for Adam Strange and Starfire. That one was packed good. And the experience of trying to order the figures. They need to increase the traffic the site can handle so it does not take 45 mins to an hour to complete my transaction.

So far every figure I want to get I have been able to. Only becasue I am on when they go on sale.

Only had one issue with the He-man figure but the service rep was able to fix it for me.

No the MOTU figures cards were all damaged. They need to do a better job packing the figures. I am happy with the look and qualitity of the figures themselves.

Skeletor, Zodak, Hordak purchased. Tried Merman, & Faker unsuccessfully. Missed He-Man, Beastman, and Stratos due to work schedule and internet access problems.

I give them a C based on the internet problems I had with Merman and Faker, along with the dinged up packaging of Hordak. Shipping time has been constant and reliable (which is why they get a "C" instead of an "F"). I just wish the ordering system were a bit better. With the Subscription service I am hoping my rating will increase to an "A". Here's to hoping!

1. I have ordered all MOTUC and DCUC that came out of Matty except for King Greyskull completely missed out on that one.

3. Grade: C. The website still can't handle the traffic. They keep saying they've fixed it, but have not. I hate having to hover at my computer the minute a figure is released only to sit and wait for 30-40 minutes before the site will even load. Then wait another 5 minutes to confirm payment. And the demand outweighs supply. Again, they've stated they'll be upping the production, so that should no longer be an issue. But this figures have been selling out the day of release and I have a number of friends who weren't able to get any of them. As far as shipping goes, I hate paying it, and feel for $9 I should have my figure within 3 days. It's usually 5-8. The fastest received figure (Stratos-he must have flown) came in 4 days, but in a drenched box which wet his card, but that was UPS' fault, not Mattel's. As for the figures themselves...fantastic! Amazing sculpts, but expensive...I wish I could afford two of each, but for $28.95 ea?

 

Overall, I'm right in the middle. I love the line too much to give up on it, but it's a hassle to keep up. I can't subscribe because I don't know if I'll want every figure (who would want to wait until the end of the year to get their figures anyway?).

I have bought King Grayskull and DC Universe Lobo, I tried to buy some Masters of the Universe figures but can never find them in stock, they sell out too fast.

I give Mattycollector a C, based on

a. Product availability- I am really interested in the Masters of the Universe line but I am not collecting it due to the fact that I can

never buy them on the sale date, which is when they usually sell out.

 

b. Customer Service- I have never called customer service yet.

 

c. Customer Satisfaction- I am satisfied with the products that I have purchased, yet I am truly sad that I have never had the

chance to purchase the some of the others, hopefully rereleases are in order.

1. I have bought faker, stratos, zodak, merman from mattycolector! I tried to buy hordak and had no luck! Sold out quick!

3. C+ packing of product isn't good for collectors who have figures graded in the packadge.

The figure are great out of the packadge!

I have bought 1 Lobo, 1 Starfire/Adam Strange 2 pack, 1 King Greyskull, 3 Beast-Man, 2 Skeletor, 2 Stratos, 3 Mer-Man.

C is my grade for MC because while my products are great, it is excessivly difficult to order them with the way they now put the products up durring my work hours with no options for pre-orders or reserves. I did subscribe to the subscription service, but that did not help when I missed Mer-Man on the first release day and barely managed to get him the second time. I completely missed Hordak because I was not able to be home for the mere hour or less time it takes them to sell out.

 

The limited time frame and disfunctional web site durring the release time for the MotUC is like a rat race only for those priveledged enough to not have a life or other obligations durring the middle of a day in the middle of a month. Online ordering of products is supposed to be simpler and easier than going to a store, not more difficult and complicated. It is supposed to be a luxury, not a challenge.

 

The shipping time on my products has varied from a single day to over 3 weeks, but customer service was polite and helpful. The Blister cards and packaged have always had some minor damage from the shipping, so good thing I am not a MOC or MIP collector.

3. When the item is in stock they get an A... but i haven't been able to buy any MOTU since Skeletor, scalpers buy up everything within a day of release... so they get a big fat F since I can't buy the product and refuse to buy from scalpers.

1) From the website, I have tried to purchase all of the MOTUC figures but only managed to acquire He-Man, Beastman, Skeletor, Zodac, Hordak, Adam Strange & Starfire, and Ultraman & Lex Luthor. All of the other figures from the MOTUC line and Lobo I purchased after they were sold out from ebay.

3) Overall I give the website a "B". I give this grade based on the website experience and product availability. The main reason I missed a few figures is because I didn't realize how large the demand was growing and was not logging in as soon as they went on sale. The website itself is just about as good as any other when it comes to handling a lot of traffic. Try logging on onto Ticketmaster when tickets go on sale to a major concert event. You get the same issues. I actually like the way the website refreshes automatically. Ever since I have logged in at the requested sell time and waited for a while, I have gotten my figure. I do believe that ramping up the product availability is key, but I believe that that will be resloved as demand stays high. I love all the figures and I have not had any problems receiveing them nor have I had any serious packaging or paint issues. Thanks for creating such a great line.

While I enjoy the look of the figures, I am very dissapointed in how things work in their online store. The first day it was up was filled with error. My card was posted with a pending transaction like everyone else. I talked to customer service but to no avial. No King Greyskull. Oh well. I think that their all or nothing subscription is a bit off. Maybe I want only villians, but hey, when you subscribe to a magazine you can't pick and choose the months that you get it. Then there is the larger order limit. Yet another way to sell out faster. The company under estimated the popularity of their product from day one and now they under estimate the volume of people scalping to make that extra buck. I do like the idea of reprinting figures and giving them a different look or item.

3. I would give Mattel a C. Merman was sold out too fast and I think they didn't plan for so many orders - also there were some technical issues that, if it ran smoother, I may have gotten him in time. There should be enough product for demand.

(1.) I try to buy all MOTU figures each month. I have missed out on a few.

(2.) I'm in the U.S. .

(3.) I give them an overall C-. I love the figures & their sculpt. I will try to buy every single figure that comes out. It is extremely stressful having to miss work to be at a computer just to make sure I'm on the site as soon as the figure of the month goes on sale.

Also not even being able to get the figures each month. When I am lucky enough to get my order in & through, I will get the figures in damaged packages or very bad paint apps & somtimes both,together. I can't afford the subscription, so I have to fear that I will miss out on another figure. MOTU means the world to me,for personal reasons. I'm worried I won't be able to Get Man-At-Arms. I was stuck on the red sreen w/ Hordak for about 40mins & never once tried to refresh my screen & got screwed. I Never had a chance at getting King Greyskull, He-Man,Beastman,Statos,Faker, & Hordak was a nightmare too. I was lucky enough to get Skeletor,Mer-Man, & Zodac. I pray that I will be able to get Man-At-Arms. I get one to keep moc & the other is to display, but on Mer-Man I got one extra so that I can display both heads. I will do the same with Man-At-Arms, that is if I can get my order through? Thanks & God bless everyone.
