Obviously I was in ultra geek mode during my first viewing in the theatre!! I could not smiling!! But I find myself still geeking out at times at the movie at home!!

I'm watching it now, and I love the fight between Iron Man and Thor!! I geek out when Thor jumps in the air and Cap repels him with his shield!! I also geek out when Thor gets Mjolnir back just in time to uppercut a rampaging Hulk coming toward him!!

Anyhow, any Marvel movies still make you smile like a little kid after watching it so many times??

Oh and any Stan Lee appearances also make me smile still!!

Yes...I geek out whenever I watch The Avengers, the Iron Man movies, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Thor. I also love the original Spider-Man trilogy (yes, even the third one), and the X-Men films. I'm just a huge nerd I guess. (lol)

YEah, it really is one of, if not the great superhero movie. Marvel deserves a lot of credit for the way they put that all together. The planning needed to be made years in advance to get the final pay off and they pulled it off. It's overdue to be rewatched...

I almost want to buy all the Marvel movies just to have the Stan Lee cameos, but that would require me to buy Hulk and Spider-Man 3.

One special feature on sme Blu Ray should just compile all Stan cameos from every marvel movie. Unfortunately that would be stuck in red tape licensing issues between Marvel, Fox, and Sony.

After the wilderness fight scene I leaned over to my friend and said "I've already gotten my money's worth.

My favorite scene is when Cap gives the orders for the final battle and tells Hulk to smash. Goosebumps every time. It's even better at home in 3D.

As a long time Avengers fan, every time I watch the Hulk take down that giant alien and then the camera circles around the Avengers, I get misty eyed. It's my entire childhood wrapped up in that moment as the Avengers come together. I'm the exact same when the Autobots arrive on Earth in Transformers.

Yes, perfect sentiments!!! Exactly how I feel!!! Its as if I were 12 again!! All that was missing was a copy of the Avengers in my pocket!!!

And yup, seeing the Autobots also just made me a kid all over!!

I'm really, really, really hoping that the new GI JOE movie will do the same!! I know I will shed a tear when I see those Rattlers in the sky on the big screen!!!

Anyhow, back to the topic!! I agree, I still laugh when Hulk just slams the hell out of Loki!!! Man in the theatre it was so loud I could not hear what he said as Hulk was walking away!! That's the kind of movie magic that made this movie succeed!!!

Robert Downy Jr. is Tony Stark!!! He brings a wit and slyness to the character that is perfect!! Like when Pepper is whispering in his ear, his reaction, golden!!! Looking forward to the next Marvel Universe movie with upmost anticipation!! I think Kingsley as the Mandarin will be awesome!!!

Oh yeah!! Growing up, X-Men were it for me!! I liked them before they were popular with the general public, back when Storm was leading the team still!! I was an outcast, so I associated with them the most!!

So when they came to the big screen, it was cool!! But the second X-Men movie, really had me geeking out!! Wolverine hunting down the soldiers was the greatest thing to a comic nerd like me!!!

When wolverine pops out his claws the first time in the bar scene. Jackman really nailed that moment forever for me. He looked so intense that i really thought he would kill the guy.

Yes...the whole intro scene for Logan was awesome. It was definitely one of my all-time favorite comic book movie scenes. I've just always loved Hugh Jackman's take on Logan/Wolverine. He completely understands the character and nails it every time. I also really loved the scene where Magneto confronts the police at the train station. Ian McKellen just played the perfect Magneto in my opinion, although I wasn't sure about him at first.

Another scene I loved from the first X-Men film was when we see Xavier and Magneto meet at the congressional hearing. That scene perfectly distilled each character into their respective essence, and it perfectly established the conflict between them. It was...beautiful, for lack of a better term. (lol)

"No hard feelngs point break, you got a mean swing!! "

No matter how many times I view this movie, which is a lot, I get a good laugh out of this line!!

Cap's line about god is perfect!! And glad it was included, even with Whedon's personal beliefs!! Which shows his respect for the source material!! Also when Cap jumps, and he points his shield forward, geek moment!!

I'm watching it as I type this, and it's just a fun movie, period. It's the kind of film I feel like I grew up watching, one that's just terribly original and mind-blowingingly entertaining without being overly violent and filled with foul-language and/or blatant sexual inuendos and undertones. It doesn't take itself too seriously, yet it respects the source material, like you said Lady Jaye, and treats the mythos with dignity, while allowing each character to shine, yet work within a team dynamic. It has the right amount of action, special effects, humor, and the story's not too convoluted; it's a fun, easy to follow premise. The characters are well-written...it just has so very much going for it and will serve as the template for comic-book movies for years to come. I can't wait to see the follow-up.

I can't wait to see the follow-up.

Me neither!! Especially with Whedon's expectations of topping not only the Avengers, but Iron Man 3!! According to him, it's raised the bar substantially!! So I can't wait to see that too!!

It's a great time to be a Marvel fan!!!

I'm expecting a grand battle with Thanos leading the charge, but how it's going to play out, I just don't know?? I'm hoping it'll be on a cosmic level, don't think poor Earth could stand such an epic battle??

But I have a sneaking suspicion that the Avengers lose this one?? They have to, all great story arcs, the second chapter is always the darkest!! If they do though, how will the next wave of solo films work then?? They lose and go their seperate ways?? Or with the next wave of films not appear until the 3rd Avengers movie??

So many different ways this could play out!! I'm just ready to be at the theatre with a smile on my face and my inner child just in awe!!

Just love this movie... my amazon preorder of the MCU Phase One from last year came in the mail last Tuesday. May not be worth it for some but I just love how the extra stuff that came with the set. Only real bummer is its not really a complete movie collection since they omitted to include the disc 2 (special features) for both Iron Man and Iron Man 2.

I just watched it again. Talk about a gift to the comic fan. The fact that people are still geekin' out about this one year later is saying something. A couple of thoughts:

Why Hulk 3 is on the back burner is beyond me. Everyone would see that movie. People LOVED the Hulk in the Avengers, comic geeks and average movie goers alike.

How about a Hawkeye/Black Widow prequel? Seriously. Look at all the backstory they eluded to throughout the film. It was like Obi Wan talking about the old days in A New Hope.

And like A New Hope, this movie is going to be worthy of annual re-watching for some time to come. Just a great film!

Speaking of Widow, she's usually quite in control of her emotions, as can be evident by her rouse of Loki! But you could truly see her fear of Banner during their first encounter!! But she was truly shaken with fear after being almost killed by the Hulk!!! I liked that touch of humanity!

Just finished watching the fight between Iron Man and Thor, still awesome!! Seeing Thor's reaction when Tony head butts him, priceless!!! It's like, how dare you!! Ha ha!!

Ha Tony's look when the suit absorbs the lightning!!!

I've never seen it put any better than that yojoe...it is indeed a gift to comic book fans. Watching it makes you feel like you did when you played with your action figures as a kid. It's just pure, unadulterated fun. You could just tell that everyone involved in making this film knew what comic book fans wanted to see, and made it happen on film. It's just awesome.
