  1. He still is, although he appears to be based on the earth one series where he is much more a father figure/mentor than a servant, hence his calling him Bruce
  2. Just wondering if anyone else here has seen "Beware the Batman" (seeing as there is no topic on it yet). I've already seen the first 3 episodes and must say I was pleasantly surprised. The Action, storylines and character development are actually very good. I like the fact that while each episode is pretty much self contained, there is advancement from one to another (for example the dynamic between Batman and Gordon is slowly but surely moving towards their eventual friendship). I also really like that despite the kiddified look and dorky name (I really don't like it), the show is quite serious and violent (not R rated of course, but almost on par with clone wars). The final aspect I enjoy and can comment on (even after only 3 episodes) is the fact that Batman is portrayed as both a great detective and martial artist, neither downplaying or going overboard with either aspect so far. If you have not seen it I recommend you give it a try (especially if you are a Batman fan), or if you are on the fence because of the lack of traditional villains (I actually welcome the change) Sorry for the long post, I'd like to know what you guys think.
  3. Thanks for the input The plan is to have #1 of each title by Comic-con next year, and the format will likely be 6 issue mini-series. If all goes according to plan we should start posting preview art on facebook about 3 months from now.
  4. Hello everyone, I'm making this poll because I'd like to have a general consensus of how many people actually read Indie comics, since a friend and I have just begun work on 2 different comic titles, one action/adventure oriented, the other action/horror. We are right now in the process of copyrighting material, and your info will be very helpful in making decisions at this early stage. Thanks in advance to all who take the time to answer
  5. General Zod with Kryptonian armor: 746775189228 Faora: 746775189211 They arrived today at both brawley and calexico Ca. Hope it helps
  6. -Scale is way small compared to the rest of the New 52 figs (and his comic book look)Matty should have reused an repurposed the CnC Darkseid. -Proportions are screwed up, huge head and shoulder pads compared to the rest of the body. -Inaccurate costume (He Should have blue boots not just a one piece unitard with painted on details)gloves are off as well -Inaccurate colors (blue should be much darker) I'd say that qualifies as enough to complain and not want to buy it, but if all that doesn't bother you I guess like they say, to each their own.
  7. FYI. BBTS just put preorders up at $17.99 each, no cases or sets, just individuals. Thanks man. I just put my order up. Man i missed on armored zod. Thats lame :-( well i got all the others. Sadly i will never see these at retail. Mattel has a strict no movie master rule for international fans but we are good for crappy 3 3/4 figures. (Sorry i know some love them) i always check on prices before i hit ebay and i rather give my money to bbts. Also expensive but way better then ebay. Glad I could help, sorry you missed out on armored zod though, he went out fast
  8. I gotta agree whole heartedly with that one. Mattel and Toybiz/Hasbro both gave us long running, diverse, fan-pleasing lines of 6" figures. And what do you hear about the most? Stuff we "never got". Boo hoo. I agree with you for the most part, except when it comes to ghostbusters, I mean no Gozer, seriously! That's almost like a Batman line without Joker.
  9. FYI. BBTS just put preorders up at $17.99 each, no cases or sets, just individuals.
  10. I agree, Superman should be able to look up. What surprised me even more though was the phrase "dreaded ankle articulation" the reviewer used in the Zod video, never did I expect to hear that. Maybe the guy should not be wasting his time and money with action figures and just stick to statues which usually have a crazy amount of detail and are for the most part 100% accurate to source material, but to each his own
  11. I don't believe this. If this was true, I'm sure it'd be more apparent at all the toy blogs that subbers get to buy figures an hour ahead of non-subbers. Like what BigBot said, I'm a subber but I still have to wait until 12pm EST to get what I want today, I logged on at 1130am and nothing was available for me except the other stuff everything else says coming soon. EDIT: stuff like Stands, PKE Meter and the Voltron figure the $30 one And Like BigBot said, might be an isolated situation, could be he is logged in from Mexico, whatever the case he still managed to get my figs I will ask him next month to check if he can again log in earlier (see if he can get a screen print showing the time), If he does I'll let you guys know.
