  1. I'm not Funko's biggest fan, but these look pretty decent, at least for grainy images. I'm cautiously optimistic about the Firefly figures now.
  2. Frankly, it was pretty amazing that the lined survived for so long at retail. That was already a major achievement, given the eclectic character selection. Because they were able to get us thus far, I almost can't fault Mattel for the eventual decline of the line. I'm sorry DCIE didn't go through for you guys. I personally couldn't justify paying almost $30 a figure (after tax and shipping) and not even have a choice as to which figures I wanted to buy. Although what puzzles me is how DC Direct can still produce figures at a similar price point and not rely on large retailers, while Mattel can't.
  3. I want to remove a Proton Pack from an extra Venkman figure I picked up back in the big sale of 2011. Has anyone done this? Any tips, suggestions? Or a link to a thread to someone who's done this before? Thanks.
  4. Going off on a tangent here... do you think Mattel would ever rerelease the props? I would love to pick up a PKE Meter. Once they release Dana, I'll be done with this line. Unless they have more 40% off sales in which I can pick up things I missed for cheap with combined shipping.
  5. I find the shipping prices intolerable.
  6. Just received mine today. I haven't had a chance to get batteries and try it out yet, but it looks good. I do wish they used nicer materials (ie metal), but I guess that would've increased the price point.
  7. It's no surprise that this line is ending already. I mean how many figures can you make from two movies where the casts are predominantly the same? It would've been nice though, if Mattel hadn't stretched it they way that they did and gave us figures that we (well, really *I*) would've wanted. I definitely would've bought Gozer, Terror Dogs, Dana, Janine, and Vigo. I mean, I even bought Walter Peck! However, I skipped out on the variations of the main guys. I think I would've been more predisposed to buying them wearing plainclothes rather than the courtroom and ready to believe you outfits. I also definitely would've bought ghosts on their own if they came in the right scale and had enough accessories to justify the high price point. Anyway, I'm happy with what I have -- once I get the Dana figure that is .
  8. Mattel should just do the reverse of what they've been doing previously: put one "collectors" figure in each wave of "all star" figures. Sure, it would cut the number of "collectors" figures by a third, but at least they'd have a chance of seeing retail. i have no real knowledge about toy production, but it sounds good to me.
  9. I'm going to have to pass on the subscription. My interest in the line was already winding down, and now the figures are going to be even more expensive. $15 plus tax and shipping no longer seems worth it to me -- and yes, I can afford it. I guess I'd just rather spend my money elsewhere now. For the price of the subscription + tax and shipping, I can probably afford a couple Hot Toys figures, which will be much more impressive on the shelf.

    wave 20

Twenty is a lot of waves. I've already started to skip figures, so it feels appropriate (to me at least) that the line should be ending. I was prepared to stop collecting these.
  11. I bought the first three: Hal, Tomar-Re, and Rot Lop Fan. I might just keep Hal, since I'm not THAT interested in these. I certainly don't want to pay $15 * 11 figures to get Parallax. That is ridiculous.
  12. Man I don't recognize any of these characters. I may stop collecting DCUC after wave 17. These have gotten too expensive anyway. .
  13. This is a pretty comprehensive site listing all the minimates ever released, along with their accessories. http://minimatedatabase.com/chars.php?i=391&n=Deadpool Although this might not answer your original question, as the listing for the Heroes and Adversaries set hasn't been filled in.
  14. I was thrilled to find some hint of Wave 14 at my closest Walmart (which isn't even that close). I was ready to purchase the three Wave 14 figures they had, until I started wondering why the packaging looked kinda beat up. Turns out someone had removed the CnC parts, carefully sealed the packaging, and returned them to Walmart. It also explains why the packaging felt so light.
