The new toys are supposed to drop this month. (Oct 15th I believe) Hopefully we will start seeing them pop up soon. I am hoping for a Smaug and I cannot wait to see the rest of the figures they have in store. The 15th cannot get her fast enough

Have we even seen what any of the new stuff will look like? I remember, vaguely, seeing stuff back in Feb but nothing since. I would hope that the new stuff gets a bigger push then the stuff from the first movie. Seems like only Kmart and TRU carried the stuff last year.

I've been really pleased with the figures from the first film. For an unknown company, The Bridge Direct has made some fantastic figures. I'd say they're on-par with Hasbro's Star Wars line. They're just that well-made to me. I just wish they'd also do figures from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. That'd be all kinds of awesome.

I am a little worried about the future of this line too. Mainly because information on these has been minimal since Feburary. Usually you see some info here and there or figures pop up on ebay early. However, these are supposed to drop soon and I cannot really find any assurance that we will see these this month

nothing real exciting. Not even a hint of a large scale dragon figure.

Looks like i'll only be hunting 2 6in figures this fall...sigh...

I picked up my first figure from the new Hobbit line and am really impressed. I've wanted a Radagast the Brown for years so he was the main figure I had my eye on. He's magnificent! You can really see Sylvester McCoy's likeness. Plus he's got a neat hat that fits on him well and looks good both on and off. Not something you see too often on smaller toys (under the 1/6th scale really).

Man, Radagast is the only worthy figure to be picked up in this line. He's in scale with the 6 inch LOTR figures and the only one which has that Toybiz touch and quality. Legolas looked like more of a mutant dwarf than en elf, Im not complaining though since, there were oversupply of Legolas figures from the LOTR toyline...

Azog would just be alright though he looks slimmer than the Orcs of Toybiz, wherein he should be towering over them,...Hoping for better Thranduil and Thorin 6 inch figures. There's one more chapter in the series and probably they'd get it right.

Well, I liked all the wave 1 3.75" - 4" figures. But, some how, found these at Dollarama yesterday, selling for $ 2.50 a piece! Of these, too, they specifically had Thorin, who was rare in Toronto somehow, and the never before seen Gandalf figure. Come to think of it, if they are at Dollarama, along with Waves 1 and 2 of the GI Joe Retaliation figures, which are selling for about the same price, don't know where this is going.

toy fair is coming up. I hope we get some good news about this property. I would really like to see some 6inch dwarves. I would also hope that they get the rest of the 3 inch dwarves out before they call that line kaput

I wouldnt hold out for the dwarves at this point...Im guessing we get Bard, human Beorn, and Bolg and that's all she wrote.

I do hope at least they put some effort in getting Smaug made...even if for the 3.75 scale he's bound to look good with the bigger guys

For any of you wondering about Bridge Direct's limited edition LARGE-SCALE SMAUG action figure...

Warner Bros shop had better gimme a refund even though I slit the tape on one side of the box to check out the joke inside. $70?!?! I expected at least something the size of the fell beast from the Toy Biz LOTR line for that price.
