Thundercats Episode 7 "Legacy"

This show has impressed me more and more. It has to be the best re-made 80's show to date. Voltron let me down, and the G.I. Joe and Transformers series sucked. I was starting to lose hope. I love the animation and the stories are getting better each week. I liked the history between Mumm-Ra and the cats with all of the Mutants. I got a kick out of the Tiger-Sharksappearance (Anyone doesn't know, they were another short lived show that didn't hit it too big). And just as I got over that we have a quick cameo shot of, what looked liked, Mon-Starr. Anyone else catch his appearance? It was when Mumm-ra was looking at the screens just before the big attack. Could this lead to a Silverhawks re-make if Thundercats does good enough?

Spoiler warning for those who didn't get to see it.....................

I think that will do.

Okay, so anyone else got a infinity gauntlet (from marvel comics) vibe from the way they handled the whole stones deal, or was it just me? Also Mumm Ra's armored look reminded me of the 200x Hordak from MOTU. Overall I am loving this series so far :)

i have really enjoyed the series so far. i like the little nods to past characters and toy lines. i've got the feeling that WAS a tiger sharks ref in the show, both toylines were produced by LJN.

I thought it was a great episode! Great references and fighting scene. Glad they they made the origin of Thundercats and others animals came from space from another planet(s). A nod to the original story. Here is a cool thought. Mon-star was shown in this episode and in a previous. We just learned about the gems and how with a gauntlet it can give the bearer a suit of armor. So would it be cool to see Mon-star show up with a gem and transform into his armor mode like in the eighties. Here is to hoping.

I finally watched the episode this morning. I think it was a very interesting story, epic actually. I don't care for the warrior suits that Lion O's ancestor and Mumm Ra were wearing or the need for them, an aura would of been fine for me. Aside that was one hell of a story, again I don't like Mumm Ra's use of technology but it was a very very good episode. I hope we see more of what Mumm Ra can do, he was pretty much easily defeated since this show started, they have time though to really flesh this thing out with him though.

I love Tigers, they are my all time favorite animal and are larger and stronger than Lions so I wish they had more of a role other than complaining about the king. Tigers are the real king of the jungle and can whip any Lion's butt!!!!!

This episode explained ALOT as well as gave looks at other beloved characters in other realities. That the TigerSharks were mentioned, as well as Mon*Star making a cameo, was purely awesome! Was actually wondering how far they were going to go with this revamping of 80's shows. Silverhawks? TigerSharks? So far, the Thundercats are awesome because it's a re-telling of their story, but from a different perspective. "Legacy" was awesome because it filled in alot of holes for me. Where Third Earth was, how they got there, what Mumrah's relationship was to them, as well as the other Animals. I can't wait to see what's next.

Like Wheeljack mentioned Mon Star looked like a Thundercat, I hope that is so. Could you imagine a fight between Mon Star and lion O or Mon Star vs the Cats. It was also cleared up that those flying creatures were not the Silverhawks but rather the vultures. I am not used to Vultureman having wings, we will need to see the new design for him.

Who was the lady cat that kept kissing LeeO? haha It was a very good episode and this show is awesome. When I watch it I get the same feeling I got when I use to watch the original Heman series as a kid.

yeah man.. this episode was fantastic. I loved almost everything about it. The backstory was excellent, filling in the history of the Thundercats universe and all the other creatures. I liked how the cats were slavers of the other animals, it helps to fill in why there is so much animosity between the animals now. Also liked seeing how all the animals came to be together on 3rd earth. It was cool to see the jackles (Jackleman), monkeys (Monkian), Vultures, (Vultureman), and especially the Tigersharks race!

I would love it if they would tie MonStarr and the Silverhawks into the show a little... That show was one of my favorites in the 80s

okay.. now the only thing that I didn't love.. the armors. I mean they were kinda cool.. but more like WTF?

Panthra is a good name , she was a horny little kitty none the less haha.

Is it me or is the girl Thundercats hot or what? Cats are none to mate quite rough but I would suffer some scratches and cuts for that kitty cat! LOL!

I thought it was good, too. They could have explained a little bit as to why Lion-O understood some stuff but not other stuff as Leo, but otherwise it was a good way to explain things. The armor idea is OK, but I didn't think either of them looked very cool.
