New Sonic Figures!

I'm meh on Sonic Boom, the designs look cool except for Sonic and Knuckles. Sorry if I have to sound like a whiny fanboy but...BLUE ARMS!???!!! I guess there is something against men shaving their arms. But as for Jazwares losing Sonic, though I don't think it's happen for now, but I can't say I'm surprised, Jazwares clearly doesn't care about Sonic anymore.

I believe I read that jazwares no longer has the master toy license for Sonic. Or is it just Sonic Boom? A little bit upsetting, either way.

 

I believe it's just Sonic Boom that will have it's merch done by TOMY. Jazwares still seems to have the regular Sonic license and has promoted new stuff on their facebook page in the last week (like 5" Black Knight Silver).

 

Unfortunately, they also confirmed that Rouge and Classic Knuckles are both canceled, which totally stinks. It seems we've reached the limit of supporting characters that they are willing to take a risk on making

 

They're saying it's the distributors fault, basically implying that TRU won't stock a Rouge figure, so they can't spend money making one. In any event, I'd be surprised to hear of any 3" announcements that aren't a re-release or repackaging of existing characters, because if Rouge can't sell, I can't think of any other characters who are more likely to sell than her o_O

Well. I don't like the sound of that. =l This is the same thing that happened with my McFarlane NHL figures. QC slipped, stores stopped selling the figures, poof!

Hi everyone, just thought I got a lot of stuff to share. :3

 

I must say, I truly really like new design for Sonic characters, even if it was just for Sonic Boom series. Knuckles does look strange but I can see why they made him look like muscular guy; he's *Knuckles*; one of strongest characters out there. It'll take some getting used to but I think it isn't bad. In meanwhile, I love everyone's design a lot. Especially Sonic's! I think blue arms look nicer on him, but that's just me.

 

It does tick me off to no end seeing how there's so many so-called-fans that complain about EVERYthing. They complained about designs without giving it a try. They trashed on game without even playing it. Many of them complained about the color of Sonic's arms. Who the heck cares. It's just color of arms. It's.. really sad. Is large part of Sonic's fan community this stupid? Why can't community be better like Mario's fan community? Less "recolor Sonic characters", less whining/negative/complaining, less ignorant, less unfunny "gotta go fast" jokes and so on. I just aboslutely hate Sonic's fan community. I swear, Sonic really deserve better. He got a lot of good games, I can't recall any modern game being bad; even Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic & the Black Knight.

 

Overall, I look forward to TV series of Sonic Boom as well as video game series. Looks really promising. Here's why.

 

Sonic Boom (video game)

• The Wii U GamePad will be used to display a map and upgrades, as well as another function which is yet to be unveiled
• The game follows an adventure style with currency and upgrades for the characters
• The game is more “organically” challenging, in that difficulty arises from skill in combat and finding hidden secrets as opposed to enemies just becoming tougher
• All the levels in the game are connected by the story and its locations
• You will mainly use two characters at a time during gameplay, but all four will show up in hubs and boss fights
• There will be points in the game where you are required to use a certain character to proceed
• The game will be very character driven, with a lot of focus put onto each individual character and their unique abilities
• We will “definitely” be seeing other characters from the Sonic series making an appearance – these will be revealed over the coming months
• Inspiration is being taken from Sonic 2, Sonic Adventure, and Sonic Generations

Isn't that amazing? I've waited years for a game like this since Sonic Adventure days. I am not gonna let ignorant fans trash on it and get it to enjoy the game like I have with Sonic Lost World on Wii U and 3DS. That game was pretty awesome.

 

Also, you should be looking forward to Sonic Boom figures because of Eggman's Egg mobile thing.

I think Sonic Boom figures is only non-Jazwares thing, I've seen some word that Jazwares is still keeping Sonic license, it seems.. Like.. here. Sonic the Hedgehog is still mentioned as one of products that Jazwares do.

^^^ That's not all; more Minecraft figures and new Gravity Falls figures? AWESOME! I love Jazwares, I'm telling you. Jazwares' Minecraft figures are exactly what I imagined and wanted to be. I finally have some figures I look forward to. I know that is not Sonic related, but this is Jazwares we're talking about, I just absolutely love their work. Of course, I look forward to Sonic Boom figures too.

 

Still, I'm not happy with news of Jazwares not having any major Sonic figures in production. Silver as knight figure is nice but I'd rather have more new 3" figures. I still want my 3" Cream and Gamma, come on.

 

For whoever play Sonic Dash, global challenge on Rouge as playable character is up right now, go play if you want to unlock her.

Sonic '06 was god awful.

 

I make "gotta go fast" jokes a lot. With proper timing, and usually with people who don't get it, they are funny.

 

 

I'm hopeful for Sonic Boom. I don't like the new designs, save for Tails and maybe Amy, but I've learned that gameplay is what matters.

 

I really want Gamma.

Sonic Boom the game will be just fine. IIRC it's being developed by folks who worked on Jak and Daxter among many other highly received games. I'm not sure about the actual cartoon though. It's going to be only 10 minutes long or something along those lines. Also I think one of the my little pony writers is on board. IMO that is something to be VERY AFRAID of, because I can't stand that show, and the fanbase ugghhh.

That's why I look forward to the game; because of people that worked on Jak series. That and because I want an actual Sonic adventure game with upgrades, large world to explore, playable characters other than Sonic, etc. This is huge for me.

GOD. I completely forgot about 'my lil pony' writer being on board with Sonic Boom. I bloody can't stand the show and fanbase either. Man, I guess we'll wait and see.

The Sonic Boom toy line looks alright, I might buy them, and did someone say Gravity Falls? The SAME one that Disney Channel is treating like crap and shipping to Disney XD, that's awesome! As for Sonic Boom: The Game, the models look off but looks different from the Sonic games we had previously (and is hopefully written better the recent Sonic games since Colors).

 

SOMEWHAT OFF TOPIC: Boomerang is getting ad-supported and rebranding soon around Spring, and with the ad-support (yes they are doing what Toon Disneyand Nicktoons Network has done, but Boom was somewhat the same for more than 10 years), they can get more money to get some more cartoons. Maybe they can get the DiC Sonic cartoons, they would fit well with the shows on the network, and the majority of the DiC library is owned by the same company that owns/produces Johnny Test now, there is a chance they will join at some point.

Ah okay. n_n Makes sense. I like blue arms, bur tan arms are also still nice. Blue arms doesn't bother me since nearly every other character have it; Tails, Knuckles, etc got same color of arms as the rest of their body.

 

Great that activity isn't dying here.

Rouge is unlocked on Sonic Dash by everyone, just a quick head-up.

Lol yes I prefer STC's simple concept of Robotnik just changing clothes. I wasn't a fan of archie killing him off and having Robo-Robotnik become the Sonic Adventure era Eggman. I wonder what they were thinking at Archie when they decided to kill Robotnik? Did they think Sonic as a series was over because of the Sega Saturn flopping in the US at the time, and they just decided to do whatever they hell they wanted to the series???

Well...Jazwares won't, so I will. Working with a buddy to make a custom Rouge figure. Head was a digital sculpt he did and the body I'm sculpting traditionally. Pics of the body coming soon.

No Rouge, no Classic Knuckles. They were rumored to be pulling back on Sonic, but then went through with a few newer things. I'm not sure where he stands. =l

Release dates too, November 18th for Wii U, and November 11th for 3DS. There's gonna be some stiff competition between those games, the Pokemon remakes, and Smash Bros on Wii U.

Yes I have the Sonic Nendoroid. I love the figure, but it doesn't really look compatible with the Jazwares figures. He is larger than than the 3-3/4 inch figures and much smaller than the super posers. Don't let that stop you from buying it though. It's a fantastic figure and the build quality is much better than Jazwares. Also don't be fooled by the bootlegs on ebay!!!

Thought if post a new toy. You get it from preordering Sonic Boom at GameStop. To me, it sorta looks like a cheap McDonald's toy, but a preorder gift is always nice.
