Apparently they've been released. I picked up the entire wave one set and the 2 TRU exclusives (Hiro and Claire) for my wife this past weekend.

I received my series one figures the other day.

 

 

The articulation is all over the place. Some have a lot of movement, others are nearly statues.

 

Claires damaged head is much better than her regular head.

I agree articulation is not consistent, and in most cases, lacking (this coming from a big Marvel Legends fan, which is mostly articulation, so I'm spoiled). BUT, the likenesses are ranging fair to great, and the accessories, alternate heads/limbs, and exclusive variants are AWESOME.

 

I totally don't get how they can get the injured Claire head PERFECT on the likeness, but the regular head looks nothing like her. I think it's a combination of the hair and the regular head's face needs to be shorter/rounder.

 

They've surprised me with character choices, implying that some characters are more important than I believed they were (Claude?), BUT that only whets my appetite for future waves to come.

 

I have all of series one (minus exclusives... flying Peter is barely different, but I may pick him up anyway, fire rescue Claire is a TOTAL waste, and Times Square teleport Hiro might be worth it for the cheek-wobbling alternate head), and I've been snagging series two whenever I have some dollars in my pocket.

 

What I found interesting is the Niki/Jessica figures. She's packaged differently, one package labeled Niki, one packaged labeled Jessica, and the head used on the figure corresponds to the name, the mirror accessory shows the "other" character. At first I was seeing lots of Jessica packages, so I picked up a Niki, thinking she was more rare, and I haven't opened it yet... and now I'm seeing more Niki packages. Anyone know what's harder to come by? Or are they evenly packed? Either way, I much prefer the Jessica head, but the more I look at them, the more I'm warming up to both likenesses.

 

I can't wait to see where the toy line goes... I was thinking of all the characters they can still do....

Wow Maybe I just have a thing for exclusives or something but I got to say I want that exploding peter figure that looks pretty dang bad ass!

 

So how much are these things costing you guys in stores?.. Thats an other reason I think the line won't last long cause of the high prices... I picked up the comic con exclusive and that sucker was expensiveeeeeeeeeeeeeee I almost passed ... & more than likely would have if I had not actually been at the convention my self too ... I'm tempted to get the regular hiro he looks pretty good as well I think I may wait on a 2nd version of him though if they ever get that far that is ...

 

Niki/Jessica ... I got to say that is pretty cool they did that! Thanks for the info! Is there any real difference though aside from the expression on her face? Its what?.. happy face/mad face? sort of silly!

they are very entertaining I did not get into it either my self well into season two .... I think I waited till about season two was over and then downloaded season 1 for lack of nothing else to watch & wound up liking it so I went and did the same with s2 ... or did I watch that one on tv?.. All the exclusives are pretty cool... I hadn't even known about Exploding Peter before this thread... The SDCC "Future Hiro" is especially awesome. There's also a Painting Sylar (from after he killed Isaac and used his powers), with an easel and a pallete and his eyes all white.

 

I've seen them for about $14.99 in stores like TRU and comic book shops. I didn't invest in Series 1 at first, but Series 2 made me go back and get series 1. So on ebay, I nabbed the first series for $50 plus shipping, which actually made it about $10 a figure plus shipping. It was a steal. So check ebay because it might be worth it.

 

The Niki face is her mouth a little open where you can see her teeth, kinda like her "worried" expression as she looks in the mirror on the show, and the Jessica face is the mouth closed in a smirk and her eyes looking off to the side a little mischievous. The Jessica hair is better too, IMO. Niki's hair looks limp and stringy, Jessica's is fuller and more styled.

The likenesses in Series 3 don't impress me, Nathan's looks pretty good though, but in person I seem to appreciate the figures more than in the pictures.

 

I'm mad at Mohinder's figure. It comes with the "Activating Evolution" book, according to the package, but it's really a blank book. They couldn't have printed a cover on it to actually show a title and that "godsend" symbol that recurs throughout the show?

 

I consider Micah to be a fairly important character to the series, so I'm surprised he's not included in Series 3. I'm surprised also that Elle (a relatively new character) and duplicate characters like Peter and Hiro are in the toy line before main characters like Micah, or Isaac Mendez. And a character like Isaac, who's dead now, should be made sooner, because the longer the show and the toy line goes, the less timely it would be to produce his figure.

 

Disappointed that Peter and Hiro's man-bags are the same, but Hiro's has two stripes on it to differentiate. At least Mohinder's bag is original. Surprised Mohinder didn't come with his father's ashes.

 

Just realized a lot of these figures with alternate heads would come in handy for staging someone getting their head chopped off.

 

And I love that MOST of the figures come with an Isaac Mendez painting that is connected to their particular storyline... just wish they ALL came with a Mendez painting.

 

Heroes is really a great show, I can't imagine anyone watching it and not getting sucked into it... but you really do need to start from Season 1, first episode, to appreciate it.

They don't. ML run at 6", while Heroes run at 7".

 

Not really compatible. I just put Jessica Sanders' head on Shanna's body (from the Savage Land Boxed Set) and it makes Jessica's head look way too big and makes Shanna's neck look way too short.
